Each year, thousands of Americans invite an international teenager to become part of their family for a semester or an academic year. A handful of those teenagers are placed and supervised by BFF!

I am asking you to get on a call tomorrow, Wednesday, July 24 at 8 pm Eastern, and invite everyone you know to do the same. We are at a critical point in the year, and many students still need host families or at least a welcome family to host them. We are running out of time, and I don't want to see any kid left behind.
We genuinely believe in what we do! We believe in the power of sharing lives with international teens, in our mission of celebrating similarities and differences, and in building relationships between families and communities, through which we create space for more love and positivity in the world. The relationships built through hosting have the power to change the world. Whether you host or help us spread our message, you are an agent of change.

The students are patiently waiting to know if they'll be spending a winter in snowy Michigan, living large in the Lone Star State, or picking a favorite college basketball team from the ACC here in North Carolina. We can place students anywhere in the US, but school spots are filling up fast, so we need to act now to get the job done! I know, as I sit here tonight at my kitchen table, that somewhere out there a great family is thinking about hosting that is the right fit for one of these amazing kids, or maybe two!

Ana from France, a BFF alum from 2022-2023, is back in Whiteville, NC, visiting her host family! She attended her host brother's wedding, celebrated her first 4th of July in the US, and spent time with her CA, Lisa B.! She's still as awesome as ever! 🌍✈️🇫🇷

I need to find a family for two students today! Sade and Alp from Turkey need host families for the 2024/25 school year. They are set to arrive in August/September, and I am committed to finding them a host family today.

As a host family, you have three choices:
1) Host as a welcome family for 8 -10 weeks
2) Host for the first semester
3) Host for the school year

We also have several more students to place, but these two are my sole focus today! Each student is important to me, but these two are my focus at this time.

After his exchange year with BFF, Eang (Cambodia) was joined by his family, and together, they went on an adventure and explored New York and Washington, DC! ✈️✨

Have you ever considered double hosting? Hosting two students from different countries can double the fun! Not only will they have someone who understands them, but they will also learn from each other along the way. We still have students needing host families for the summer program. They arrive in NC on June 25 (yes, this Tuesday) and leave July 23. At this point, we are willing to fly them to other locations where we have staff. Please let us know if you are interested in learning more about this short program and where you live.
