Final Part of Bengals Rooftop Giveaway Winner, Chelsea's Lovelace's Story: A New Chapter
After years of service, both at home and abroad, Chelsea’s life has entered a new chapter. She now resides in Covington, Kentucky, with her girlfriend, Morgan, and their three beloved dogs—Albus, Oakley, and Zora. She works as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst for Raytheon Technologies, using the skills she honed during her years in the military to continue protecting others in a new capacity. Though her time in uniform has ended, Chelsea reflects on the lessons she’s learned throughout her 12 years of service. The military taught her that no matter how different her brothers and sisters in arms may be, they come together as one team when called upon. The sacrifices, the long deployments, the time away from family—it all became worth it when she realized the profound impact small gestures can have. A care package from home, a stranger buying lunch, or a simple handshake and a heartfelt “thank you for your service” meant the world. These acts of kindness helped remind her why she served and why it mattered. Looking back, Chelsea has been forever changed by her father’s loss and her time in the military. She’s learned that no matter where life takes her, the strength to endure and the ability to help others will always be at the core of who she is. After all, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.
Thank you, Chelsea, for your service and for being a part of the Feazel Family!

Part Two of Chelsea's Lovelace's Story : The Battle at Home
In 2017, after her first deployment, Chelsea took on a new mission, this time on the home front. She became a Military Intelligence Analyst for the Ohio Counter Drug Program, embedded with the Cincinnati Police Department’s Narcotics Unit. Over the next five years, Chelsea played a critical role in helping to seize more than $120 million in drugs, cash, and property. For many, it was just a job, but for Chelsea, it was deeply personal. In 2009, she had lost her father to a drug overdose, a wound that never fully healed. Every bust, every drug seized felt like a small way of making peace with her past. “I feel like I'm making a difference in the community,” she said, reflecting on her work. “Hopefully, even if it's just one life that I'm saving, it’s going to save that person heartache in the future.” Her father’s memory was always with her, especially when she dealt with cases involving young men, fathers whose lives were derailed by drugs. “It hits home when you think, 'this guy’s going to jail, his kids aren’t going to have a dad.' But maybe this is his wake-up call. Maybe he’ll turn his life around.” For Chelsea, every victory in the war on drugs felt like a small act of redemption—a way of fighting back against the pain that had shaped her life.

Part One of Winner, Chelsea Lovelace's Story: The Call to Serve
Ohio Air National Guard MSgt Chelsea Lovelace is a force of nature. A two-time military veteran, Chelsea served 12 years between the Ohio Army National Guard and the Air National Guard, answering her nation’s call to serve. Her journey began with her deployment to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, from 2015-2016 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. It was a turning point, a test of her resilience, where she quickly learned that serving in the military is far more than just a job—it’s a way of life.
In 2020, Chelsea was called again, this time to Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel. The intense conditions and the weight of responsibility shaped her into a leader. As she worked under the scorching desert sun, far from home, Chelsea became keenly aware of the unique bond between service members. They came from different backgrounds, but in times of need, they stood shoulder to shoulder, united in their mission. These experiences solidified her belief that service is more than sacrifice—it’s about brotherhood, dedication, and finding strength in unity.

Final Part: A New Mission and Family
After five years of service, he transitioned from military life, but the values and lessons he learned aboard the Nimitz stayed with him. Now working as an Operations Manager and Regional Dispatcher in the LTL (less-than-truckload) industry, he sees a new mission ahead. "If the truck drivers are the blood coursing through the veins of this country, we are the heart pumping it out," he often tells his dock associates. His military experience taught him the importance of service, discipline, and consistency—qualities he now instills in the young men and women he mentors. But the greatest adventure of all is his family. Together, they navigate the joys of parenting Tony III, their curious three-year-old son, and support their daughter, who has just started her freshman year at SIU in Illinois. They love spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing, bonding over shared moments of joy and love.
Though life has taken him far from the Navy, he never forgets the family he gained during his service. "When you’re thousands of miles away from home, your brothers and sisters in arms become your family. Do not take the people you serve with for granted. They will be there when you need them most, just as they were for me,” he says. The bonds he formed are unbreakable, the memories shared eternal.
Part Two: A Life-Changing Moment
During his time on the USS Nimitz, one event would forever change his perspective. It happened while he was standing BMOW (Boatswain’s Mate of the Watch) on the bridge, a position of responsibility that, at a young age, placed him in charge of the safety of the ship and its crew. On this day, while conducting flight operations in the Persian Gulf, one of his watch standers spotted a surface contact—a small, adrift Iraqi fishing boat that had lost steering and power, with five men onboard.
Without hesitation, their Captain ordered a rescue operation. In minutes, the Nimitz had scrambled its boats, along with EOD operatives, and successfully brought all five men aboard. The crew provided them with food, clothing, and a place to rest, eventually transporting them safely to Kuwait. This act of compassion left a deep impression on the young sailor. "It made me realize we weren’t there to divide and conquer; we were there to win hearts and minds," he reflected. This mission of mercy showed him that military service wasn’t just about fighting—it was about humanity, about extending a hand to those in need. It was a lesson in leadership, empathy, and the true purpose of service. This moment, he realized, wasn’t just about rescuing five strangers—it was about understanding the broader mission of peace and unity.
It's game day and tonight's Buckeye Rooftop Giveaway Winner is, Tony Mccloud.
Here is his story:
Part One: A Journey Begins
In May 2004, a young sailor embarked on a journey that would shape his life in ways he never imagined. Stationed in San Diego, aboard the mighty USS Nimitz, he was thrown into the heart of military service, experiencing the intensity of life on an aircraft carrier. The ship, home-ported at NAS North Island (Coronado), became his world as he deployed on two back-to-back West Pacs to the Persian Gulf. The first deployment in 2004-2005, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, was a whirlwind introduction to the reality of war. By 2006, he was back on the water, supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Life aboard the Nimitz was challenging, but it was during these deployments that he found his stride. As he progressed through the ranks, earning the coveted Surface and Air Warfare Specialist pins and reaching the rank of Petty Officer Second Class, he began to take pride in his accomplishments. His hard work and dedication were rewarded when he received his four-year honorable service ribbon—a testament to his discipline and growth during those pivotal years.
In 2008, with his original enlistment nearing its end, he extended for one more year, joining the Nimitz for a RIM PAC. Conducting flight operations and qualifications around the South China Sea, he honed his skills and maintained the ship’s constant state of readiness. It was a demanding life, but one filled with moments of camaraderie, pride, and a sense of purpose that would stay with him long after he left the service.
Starting off the season strong! 🎉
Wrapping up today's win with the final part of Buckeye Rooftop Giveaway Winner, Jennifer Richardson's story:
After proudly serving in the Air Force for nearly 15 years, Jennifer retired in 2019, leaving behind a legacy of service, sacrifice, and honor. However, the challenges did not end with retirement. In October 2023, she faced a new battle when diagnosed with breast cancer. With the same resilience and determination that defined her military career, Jennifer underwent chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, and is now on the road to recovery.
Throughout this journey, Jennifer has drawn strength from her family—she and her husband are proud parents of three resilient boys. Growing up in a military family where both parents served has instilled in them a unique strength, especially in the face of their mother’s diagnosis. Despite the challenges, Jennifer remains hopeful and aspires to continue working in a field that aligns with her passion for service, carrying forward the lessons learned from a distinguished military career.
Thank you, Jennifer, for your service, your strength and for being a part of the Feazel Family! We salute you!

Time for part two ✌️ of Buckeye Rooftop Giveaway Winner, Jennifer Richardson's Story:
Jennifer's deployment to the United Arab Emirates in 2007 marked a significant milestone in her military career. This experience, along with countless others, profoundly shaped her perspective and reinforced the values learned in the Air Force: integrity, service before self, and excellence in all actions. Although the journey was challenging, the camaraderie and sense of belonging made every sacrifice worthwhile.
In 2012, Jennifer took on a new challenge by retraining as a paralegal, expanding her skill set and opening new avenues for service. In 2015, she was selected to become a Special Victims’ Paralegal, a role within a newly implemented program designed to support victims of sexual crimes. This position allowed Jennifer to advocate for and protect the rights of those in need, a calling that deeply resonated with her sense of purpose.

Wrapping up tonight's win with the final part of NC State Rooftop Giveaway Winner, Jon Charest's Story
“I loved traveling the world and meeting people from other countries and cultures. When I left the Marine Corps, I wanted to find something I could do to continue to serve and make an impact in the world. When my brother was diagnosed with cancer while I was in college, I started volunteering with the American Cancer Society (ACS). This volunteer work was incredibly rewarding and led to my next career. I was with ACS for 8 years and now I've been with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (sister organization to ACS) going on three years this fall. I organize our volunteer grassroots action and help advocate for cancer patients in our state legislature and Congress.”
Thank you, Jon, for your service and for being a part of the Feazel Family! It is an honor.

Time for part two ✌️ of NC State Rooftop Giveaway Winner, Jon Charest's Story
"I was stationed at the consulate in Shanghai one night when I received a call from a Marine unit back in the States. They informed me that a Marine named Daniel, who had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, wished to move to Shanghai with his parents for his final months. Daniel's parents were originally from China, and most of their family lived in the Shanghai area. He wanted them to be close to family for support during his final days. I was honored to assist in bringing Daniel and his parents to China. He was able to attend one last Marine Corps birthday ball with my unit, and our detachment was privileged to honor him at his funeral. Witnessing the impact of Daniel's battle with cancer profoundly affected me. When I transitioned from the Marine Corps and considered my next career, Daniel's story played a significant role in my decision to join the American Cancer Society."
