Two weeks later, his mouth is healing well and is feeling good! We’ll leave the splints in for some time due to the alveolus fractures.

A softball accident left this person’s teeth flopping in the back of his mouth from an alveolus fracture. He spent 4 hours in the ER and didn’t receive treatment. He spent the next 13 hours suffering from bleeding and agonizing pain. Of the 20 dentists he called around the state, nobody would see him. A friend of his got him in touch with us and we were able to get him in immediately and fix his jaw and teeth. We wish for a speedy recovery.

If orthodontics are indicated in the near future to correct crowding, and the bite needs to be opened, this is a great technique to open the bite while waiting until the time is right for braces. These attachments on the back side of the anterior teeth are called “bite turbos” or “bite blocks.” They open the posterior bite and with time, the posteriors erupt into an ideal bite position. This way, when braces are put on, all that needs to be done is straighten the teeth. This makes the braces timeline shorter, which is beneficial in many ways. The first photo shows a deeper bite without the “bite turbos.” The second and third show them on the teeth.

Precision dental implant placement using guided navigation with X-Guide. This technology allows us to place single or multiple implants with pin-point accuracy in real time. We plan in advance the implant placement using the references CT so that the implants are placed in the ideal restorative position.
