DeMaine Image specializes in Pets & Children's Illustrative Fine Art Photography where reality blends with a touch of fantasy.

We are temporarily without a studio but we can schedule outdoor sessions starting in June when weather permits. For the vast majority of us, our pets are beloved family members. Their lives, however, are shorter than we would like, and I believe the legacy they leave deserves to be remembered and honored. This is the last agility trial I will be photographing,. It's hard to say goodbye to something I love so much. All the wonderful exhibitors and awesome dogs will be in my heart forever. But it's time to face reality. My equipment is getting old and my vision is getting worse. The members of ACCW have been like family. They've been supportive with more than just letting me take pictures these past 22 years. I hope the images I've created bring lasting joy to all who see them. I know they will for me.

What a wonderful birthday! Thank you to everyone who sent wishes. I hope I've been at least as much of a blessing in your lives as all of you have been in mine.

I started with a monthly gathering of the "Rainbow Pioneers" where we were introduced to an awesomely talented photojournalist named Morgan Leiberman. She's been traveling around the country collecting stories and pictures of senior le***an couples to put together in a book. As I looked through the pages of her mock-up, I was struck by the emotion her photos evoked. Yes, there were tears. I plan to keep in touch with this young woman as she continues to create meaningful works of poignant reality.

I spent a delightful afternoon playing bingo with my good friend, Darla. She's one of those "Green Light" friends. I always feel better after spending time with her.

I was able to return to play again (using my birthday coupon) and spend the evening with my long-time friend, Joe. He welcomed me into the community 30 years ago when I moved to Casper, and I still enjoy his company.

New friends and old friends... I can't think of a better way to spend a day.

Welcome To Our World

A World of Wonder

"Do what you love" was the best advice I have ever received; and I love photographing animals and young children, especially newborns. I love capturing the wonder of discovery and the natural curiosity of both two-legged and four-legged children. I love the innocence of sleep and the excitement of awareness seen only in the expressions of newborns, whether human or domesticated animal companion. But most of all I love creating art inspired by the newness of the world in their eyes, and the expressions of an awakening personality on their faces. Childhood passes all too quickly, and our pets spend a limited time in our lives, so appreciating who they are today solidifies the memories we will have tomorrow.

A World of Magic

We excel at taking that extra step beyond candid lifestyle photography into the amazing world of illustrative portrait art where anything is possible. This is the world where musical notes float from pianos and rose petals fall from the sky. Where butterflies and dragon flies can appear anywhere and fairies really can fly. Portraits can become paintings. White screens magically transform into a flowery meadow or an enchanted forest. Children can grow wings or mermaid tails and pets can roll in a cascade of falling leaves. The angels walking by our side can become visible to the naked eye.

Does your child dream of becoming a superhero or a princess? Would she love to ride a dinosaur, fly on a broomstick, cuddle up to a lion? Is his nursery filled with lovable monkeys or adorable cartoon characters? The only barriers in a world of magic are the limits of the imagination. In the world of creative art dreams can become reality.

A World of Possibilities

Located at 601 W Collins in Casper, Wyoming, our studio space includes both a small traditional portrait area for pets, children, and families and a separate natural-light nursery studio for newborns. We do not normally offer outdoor photography.

DeMaine Image Photographic Art and Ten-Mile Holistic Veterinary Care share the same facility. We have worked hard to make this space both pet and kid friendly, and we do our best to coordinate our studio appointments with Sarah to keep from overlapping with each other as much as possible.

We have a couple portfolio-building specials through the end of 2018.

1. No session fees for newborns less than 15 days of release from hospital (newborns only - regular session fees apply for parents and/or siblings except those siblings we photographed as newborns).

2. Session fees for individual children and pets are only $49 and for families, $89.

3. Half off session fees within 12 months of original session.

4. Fairy-tales & Fantasy mini sessions will be available January through May. Contact us for more information.
