This will be a great meeting to learn about any new changes to the laws of soccer, and review some points before the season starts. Refreshments and raffle as well.

‼️Coaches Needed‼️
Without Coaches many 6u and 8u teams will NOT be able to move forward and play this season. Teams have been formed, but we can’t have a team without a Coach!!

I know that it seems like a lot, but all Coach training is done online. Only thing that needs to be completed in person is the live-Scanning. We will reimburse you for live-scanning.

PLEASE come and join our little AYSO family so we can keep things going here in Castaic. Any Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Older Siblings, friends and/or neighbors. Spread the word and help us fill these Coach spots!!

Castaic AYSO is finalizing teams, but still in need of a 12U Boys Coach!!

Coaches get great benefits like coaching gear, training, special picture package and plaque, coach dinner and many other things. If you are able to volunteer please Andrea know ASAP or go volunteer on your Blue Sombreo account. We need a Coach by July 15th!

Tonight was Castaic AYSO’s 2nd annual goalie training for our 10u division. A big shout out to Coach Guyton for planning and coordinating this event!!

We appreciate you Coach Guyton for volunteering your personal time to help teach these 10u Castaic AYSO kids goalie skills.

Castaic AYSO Region is hosting our second annual goalkeeper training.

⭐️ This training is ran by Coach Guyton. Coach Guyton wears many hats for our Region. Coach, Certified Referee, 6U/8U Coach Admin, Safety Director and works a full-time job!! He devotes a lot of his spare time volunteering for our Region. If you’ve met him you know he always has a positive attitude and uplifting.

🚩About this training:
This training session is aimed to prepare new and returning goalkeepers for our upcoming season with an emphasis on the fundamentals of this very important position. This is a great opportunity for players that are interested in learning more about the position, despite any previous experience; it's also great review for our returning goalkeepers looking to fine tune their skills. The training sessions will include the following: Proper hand placement on the ball; catching the ball from a variety of placements (sideways, ground, basket,air, etc.), footwork and body position (goalkeeper ready), and distributing the ball based on age specific game rules. � �▪️We have two sessions specific for 10U players on Tuesday July 9 (5:00 to 6:30 and 6:30 to 8:00)�▪️We have two sessions specific for 12U and 14U combined on Thursday July 11 (5:00 to 6:30 and 6:30 to 8:00)

➖Each player will need the following equipment:
* A pair of goalkeeper gloves (they can be ordered from Amazon for as little as $10.00 to $15.00 - I've used Sportout and EFAH sports gloves in the past);
* Their ball 10U and 12U are size 4 ball; 14U is size 5 ball
* Shin guards
* Cleats
* Plenty of water and/or electrolyte sports beverage
