we’ve been doing this color for over a year now and just within these last few months i feel like i’ve perfected my formula!! we started in 2022 where i made her stop coloring her hair with permanent color and grow out her gray so i could try to match the pattern in the back and also give her a bright money piece in the front. she grew it out for 8 months and then our initial transition appointment last year was about 13hrs total.

now i only pop a few foils in the front for some brightness and tone, and we let the back grow in completely 🫶🏼 we’re still growing and cutting hair that was from the initial session but it’s all really starting to fall into place 🤩

this service is a 1:1 hands on learning and styling session for those who have curly hair and have no idea how to take care of it, or for people who already have a routine but want to be educated on the best way to properly manage their hair. this service can also be for parents who want a better understanding of their child’s curly hair and how to care for it/style at home!

first Yana will have an in depth consultation with you about your hair health, hair goals, lifestyle, current routine, and current knowledge of curls; this will help them create a personalized hair care routine for you!

after the consultation you will go to the shampoo bowl for a detox of the hair and scalp. you will be instructed to feel your hair each step of the way all while Yana explains why each step is done 🙂‍↕️

lastly, you’ll get styled with products best suited for your hair and Yana will teach you the best ways to apply product and dry!

after your service you will receive an educational product guide that breaks down the essentials of hair, lays out a routine, how to layer product and most importantly Yana’s favorite products (drugstore and professional) that work for your hair type 🌟

✨be honest about your hair history: if you are considering doing a chemical process on your hair it’s important to be honest about any previous processes! your stylist can then create a game-plan for your hair to avoid unnecessary damage and set expectations for what can be achieved!

✨ be open minded: sometimes, your desired look might need adjustments to suit your hair type, previous damage, eye shape, face shape etc. try to keep an open mind and be open to their suggestions! at the end of the day we want to help you reach your goals ☺️
