"This place is amazing !!! Stayed with my wife and 4 kids and our 2 dogs. Shawn was so helpful and accommodating. Exploring the grounds of an abandoned zoo was so much fun. The house itself was amazing. The house was so spacious and every single detail was incredible. Coffee station, bottled water, fully stocked kitchen, fresh fruit, eggs, milk, they even put out fresh flowers! I can’t say enough great things about this place. If you have a large family this is a great place to visit. The bedrooms are huge and impeccably decorated and the beds we so comfortable. Board games for the kids, fully stocked bar for the adults. If you’re looking for a great family adventure do yourself a favor and check this place out"

Our Story
The Catskill Game Farm closed in 2006 – it was the first privately owned zoo in the United States, operational from 1933-2006 and housed over 2,000 animals. Among their collection included giraffes, rhinos, pygmy hippos, capybara, and many more. The zoo itself is approximately 150 acres with 3.5 miles of paved walkways and 130 structures. It is now often visited by people for the sake of nostalgia, urban exploration and/or photography.
We are the new owners of the property where "The Catskill Game Farm" was once located, specifically the area in which they exhibited all of their animals and so many families created wonderful memories.
We have a lot of very exciting things happening at “The Old Game Farm” which you are welcome join us for (please visit our events and/or website for details)! We have Self-Guided walking tours available on certain dates from April-November , Photography Workshops through ‘Abandoned America’, ‘The Long Neck Inn’ is opening 2019 - located in the newly renovated former Giraffe House and we have 2 glamping - canvas tent sites on the property for those who would are interested in a more rustic overnight adventure at the abandoned zoo.
