Yesterday during lab time, Panther Battalion hosted the annual Spring Awards Ceremony. This event allows us to commemorate the cadets’ many successes throughout the year. Congratulations to all cadets!

This year’s senior staff ride was a success! MSIVs travelled to Scott Air Force Base, IL; Kansas City, MO’s National World War I Museum; and Ft. Leavenworth, KS to learn and understand what part each of these locations played in World War I.

This weekend, we had some awesome competitors at the Ranger Buddy Challenge at Fort, Leavenworth in Kansas! CDT Nguyen and CDT Rand brought home 3rd place in the open Co-Ed competition! Congratulations to all of the fierce competitors!

For lab this week, Panther Battalion conducted land navigation training at the UNI Observatory in the form of a candy hunt! We had a great time learning and using land navigation skills!

This past weekend, Panther Battalion went to Camp Dodge for our Joint Spring FTX. We partnered up with Iowa State University, University of Iowa, and Creighton University to execute the obstacle course, STX lanes, and a 6 mile ruck. Awesome work, Cadets!

Panther Battalion is putting on the second annual Ruck for Hunger. Non-perishable items can be donated at Maucker Union, The Nielsen Fieldhouse, Gilchrist Hall, and the WRC. All donations will go to the Panther Pantry. Last year, we were able to donate 460.5 pounds, help us beat that goal by donating!

This week’s senior spotlight is CDT Auston Surber. CDT Surber is student teaching this semester in his hometown of Sioux City, while continuing to keep up with his staff position as S2!

For lab this week, Panther Battalion conducted an ambush mission! The cadets continue to grow in their confidence and learn more every day! Great work Panther Battalion!
