ANNOUNCEMENT:

I will be updating my clients on my editing queue at some point today. I am currently sitting at a 4 - 6 week turn around time with sneak peeks still being on hold until I can get more caught up. This holding off on sneak peeks is working in your album delivery time favor. Once I am caught up, I will go back to regular sneak peeks programming.

I appreciate each and every one of my clients for being patient and keeping the question asking to a minimum if any at all. You guys truly are the best!

As we all know, this Iowa weather photography wise has been less than ideal. I take the time to space out sessions, when booked, to make sure that my work load works for me and my family but when we have to reschedule (due to Iowa weather) that can really mess with things. One week, I had rescheduled sessions every day which left me with no time to edit. When it comes to my images, I truly want the best for you especially since you payed with your hard earned money. I take the time to edit every last detail (really more details than I should) before I get your album sent and in your hands. I stay up late, get up early, & even found daycare for my kids this summer to work on bettering my business. Just know, I take pride in my work and only want the best and I won’t give you anything less.

Thanks for reading this overly long yet super beneficial post that I finally made after weeks of not posting! I just wanted you to know that I am still here and thriving - ish & ready to be caught up and feeling normal again! 😘 🫶🏻

Update/reminders/editing queue for your Thursday morning scroll:

- June 1st all of my prices will be increasing so if you're still wanting my current pricing for any of your sessions for this year you must book with your payment before June 1st. Once booked these sessions must be used the year of 2024. This can be applied to your fall sessions etc. This does not apply to already paid sessions, just to the people who haven’t already booked a session.

- All sessions from here on out include so and so amounts of images as quoted on my website, but you will always have the option to purchase more.

- Contracts: I am actively working on my contract for sessions. It will list all the things you need to know for rain/wind/heat and all of my policies + more information on turn around times etc.

- Booking link: I am also actively working on this, my hopes were to have it up and running by the beginning of the year but life happens and it will be up and running this summer aka when I have childcare lol.

- Questionnaire: Once my booking link it finished that will also include a questionnaire so that I can learn more about you and your family. Please make sure when you're booking with me you take a look through my images to know if my photography style is right for you. I will not change how I work/create my art but can definitely refer you to some other great photographers who may suite your needs.

- Styling: I do not have a client closet, but I do have (some) pieces for the littles to help make styling go a little easier for you. Please note that I would like to be included in your outfits/styling & I would love nothing more than to send you some Pinterest boards that I have made with outfits that fit best with my editing/preset styles.

- Please note that I will not save your time/day until your payment has been made.

I used to find joy in discounted sessions. I used to want to be the one to help people out, but that joy is gone now. Beginning June 1st I will no longer be doing discounted mini sessions. If I offer mini sessions there will be specific guidelines if so. I know some may not agree, but I will also be raising my prices. You will be able to find all that information on my website.

- Contracts, I haven't been very good at contracts but I will be implementing them as soon as I get mine up to date.

- If you're wanting the prices I have now, I strongly encourage you to book your session + schedule your date before June 1st. After June 1st I will no longer honer my old pricing. If booked before June 1st you can use your session any time during the year of 2024 no later.

- Lastly, it doesn't kill to be a kind person. I feel strongly that if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all. I used to think being a people pleaser was one of my greatest qualities but I don't think so anymore. I'm learning how to say no & to stick up for myself more (thank you Katie, Nicole, & Mattie.) I will no longer apologize for anything that is out of my hands. It's time for me to protect my peace and charge my worth in hopes that I can attract the same people who ultimately want the same in return.

I love what I do and I have loved all of the support that I have received all these years & I want to continue to give you all the best. Now let's continue to make memories (& freeze them) so that they will last a lifetime. I promise you won't regret it ♥

I get up at 4 to get ready for the day and edit pictures just for dean to wake up at 5:15 or 5:30, obviously all eyes NEED to be on him. I ask for quiet time aka nap time for him but we no longer do naps now so there’s that. did I have this planned when I booked these sessions? no.. do I have childcare lined up for the summer because I’m falling behind? yes, yes I do. Do I feel terrible about that? Also yes because I used to be able to handle it all so well.

Please send some encouraging words because I’m currently in the trenches 😭

I’m aware it’s only temporary, but it’s hard right now and I absolutely LOVE my kids and what I do and have loved seeing how far I have come to back down now.
