Yesterday I did a thing and to be completely honest it was terrifying!!
All I can say is I’m soooo thankful for the people and opportunities that God places in my path! He opens doors that I never would have imagined possible!
I was so invited to be on a Latino Radio Station here in Austin to talk about affordable housing. It was such a great opportunity and experience to share about something I’m so passionate about and give information about how to find and apply for affordable housing. It was truly a blessing!
The funny thing is that the topic is something I can talk about all day long no problem! The hard part was I had to for the first time ever do it in Spanish! While I am totally ESL (lol) I no longer speak Spanish as much as I used to when I was younger. Talk about nervous 😬. But I pulled up my big girl pants and went for it…and it was awesome! An hour flew by!
I took my daughter with me for moral support and for her to see her mom doing the hard things, the scary things to show her not just tell her that sometimes you gotta do it afraid! 😳
God is good! And I wish you all a blessed day and remind you that God opens the doors and puts the opportunities in front of you and it is your job to walk inside even when you are afraid knowing that He is with you guiding your steps!
I’m super blessed and thankful! God opens doors and places people in my life that I couldn’t have even imagined!
Tonight I went way out of my comfort zone and did a talk about affordable housing all in Spanish! It was a great opportunity and I’m thankful to have shared this important information with my Latino Community! Truly a blessing.
Thank you God for giving me the opportunity to be brave and share this much needed information!

Today I honor and celebrate my inner Guerrera, who didn’t realize how strong she was.
As many of you know 5 years ago I took the most biggest leap of faith ever in my life. I left the security of the 9 to world and started my own business. Totally crazy in a way, for a single mom who just trusted that that passion placed in her heart and soul was there for a reason. It has been an amazing journey to get here to today where I am celebrating all the blood, sweat and tears.
I have and am always driven by my passion to make a difference in this industry that has brought me from being a young single mom, college dropout to the successful businesswoman, I am today. So, you can imagine when I say I am truly working in my passion I mean it with every ounce of my soul.
The last three years have brought on so much uncertainty and learning to navigate the unknown became the norm for me. To be completely honest I have had to dive deep into my faith and grow and stretch in ways I never knew I could. In fact having a conversation with my sister yesterday reminded me of how far I have come. Crazy right! Like for real, I had to pinch myself.
Now back to the pie as my friend always used to say when we would get caught up in a conversation and get sidetracked. Last year was so hard, my family and I struggled through things I would never wish on anyone. Between legit praying for God not to let me die from covid while I was in my house so my kids wouldn’t suffer, to dealing with financial burdens from not being able to work, to the mental health struggles that no one is ever prepared for. And in the midst of all of it God carried me and taught me so many lessons about what it means to trust Him and His plan. To stretch and be strong and fight for the life we have. To embrace that there is purpose for my life beyond the lies keeping me hostage in my head. The ones keeping me in the playing small arena. As crazy as this is going to sound this is exactly what kept me pushing forward and not letting me give up on my dream and more importantly on myself. I am excited to be where I am at now and strive to be better than I was yesterday supporting an industry I love.
Celebrate with me as we move into a new year with a big bight light full of excitement and joy!
As I prepare to go into my 6th year of business renewed with faith and open to trust and take “Pasos Cortos, Con Vista Larga” I am excited to be where I am at and strive to be better than I was yesterday supporting an industry I love.
I want to say Thank You to God and Everyone who supported me, especially last year, I appreciate you more than you know! Have a great weekend everyone!

BREAKING NEWS! Please Share!
The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) announces its Housing Choice Voucher program wait-list will open on Monday, May 2, 2022. The program provides funds through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to pay a portion of monthly rent for qualifying families in TDHCA's jurisdiction.
TDHCA will accept online pre-applications for the waiting list beginning at 8 a.m., Central Time, on Monday, May 2, 2022, to 5 p.m., Central Time, Monday, May 16, 2022.
Of the applications received, TDHCA will use a lottery system to randomly select 500 applicants for placement on the wait-list. Everyone has the same chance of being chosen whether they apply on the first day or the last day. The lottery number will also determine the applicant's place on the waiting list. There is no eligibility screening as part of the pre-application process. TDHCA's voucher program operates only in a 34-county area. A list of the 34-county area can be found at https://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/section-8/docs/ServiceAreas.pdf.
To apply online during the open period, complete a pre-application at https://www.waitlistcheck.com/application/form.php?ID=3087-TX901. All applications must be received through the online application tool. No mailed, faxed, hand-delivered or emailed applications will be accepted.
Individuals with a disability that prevents them from applying online may call 800-237-6500 to make special arrangements with staff to help them complete the application in time and to be included in the lottery process. All such requests must be made by 5 p.m., Central Time, on Monday, May 16, 2022.
Questions can be directed to 800-237-6500.
Applicants who do not have access to the internet can look to local resources such as a computer at their local library.
Applicants must be considered very low-income, which means that their gross annual income must be at or below 50% of the area median income (AMI). However, 75% of the households TDHCA will serve must be extremely low-income, which means that their gross annual income must be at or below 30% of the AMI. Maximum income limits for household size for each of the 34-county areas served can be found at https://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/section-8/docs/S8-AMI-CountyChart.pdf.
500 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery. If you don't receive an acknowledgement from the system that your application has been successfully submitted, your application will not be assigned a lottery number. Placement on the waiting list does not mean that an applicant is in fact eligible for assistance.
More information and translations of this announcement in eight other languages can be found at https://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/section-8/announcements.htm.
This is me…
I love God and my Family
I love being a Woman Owned Company
I love sharing knowledge
I love helping everyone
I am caring and kind
I am trustworthy
I never give up
This is also me…
I get nervous in big crowds
I am socially awkward
I am my own worst critic
I fear what others think of me
I am emotional
I am fearful of change
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, I am reminded to change the script and embrace all of me. Trusting that God has a plan to grow and prosper me. To change the things I fear and allow them to fuel me instead, see myself how others truly see me verses how I think they see me, not criticize myself but instead encourage myself as much I as I encourage others.
We all have those voices in our minds that tend to smother the fire in our hearts. So, we have a choice, are we going to fuel the fire by speaking life and truth into our lives and other women or are we going to extinguish the light within.
I choose life, to care for and lift myself and others, giving and learning to receive. Not seeing my Womanhood as an obstacle but instead as a blessing.
What will you choose?

Today I honor and celebrate my inner young woman who truly believed all the lies. The ones we tell ourselves when no one is looking. You know the ones I am talking about, the ones that keep you hostage in your own head. I say that I honor and celebrate her because even with that broken record playing inside my head, she never let me give up. Not on my dream and more importantly on myself.
See 4 years ago, on March 1st I took the biggest leap of faith I have ever taken. I left the security of my 9 to 5 job and started my own business. TBH, I can’t even believe it has been 4 years!! I knew it was right, it was the path God wanted me to take, so I just jumped.
2020 and 2021 were crazy, and if I am completely honest, I have just barely hung on, in business and in life. There are days that I have totally wanted to just give up and throw in the towel. But those same voices who keep telling me I am not good enough have lit a fire in my soul to keep going. Even when the fire was dim, I knew in my heart that God did not bring me this far to only go this far. So here I am celebrating two extremely difficult years filled with great joys and frightening lows. So, this year as I go into my 5th year of business, I am humbled, grateful, and stronger than I thought I was, excited to continue to dream, grow and dream some more!!
Thank you Everyone who supported me, especially last year, I appreciate you more than you know! Have a great week everyone!

I'm curious, is there something you do for your busines every year?
I start every year with 21 days of prayer set aside for my business. Every year I not only take time to look back at the year before and celebrate my wins, evaluate my lessons but also to invite God into the center of my business giving Him Control.
This year is no different, tonight I started my 21 days of prayer with a friend and colleague and let me tell you even though I have done this same exact study for the last 3 or 4 years, it seems to be the very thing need to hear. The soft whisper of encouragement I need to take heart and trust in Him who loves me.
So I want to hear how do you begin your year?
Wishing Everyone a Blessed New Year!
Good morning Everyone! Can you believe we are the cusp of 2022!
I have been closing out the year and meditating on 2021 and how crazy it felt, I have definitely had a year of learning. So many lessons, great ones and some not so great ones. As I look back now, I can honestly say I am filled with gratitude that even in the tough times we are truly blessed and have seen God make miracles every day!
So, as I enter this new year with gratitude for all the lessons 2021 brought, I am excited to take all those lessons into 2022, ready to face my fears and jump anyway!
Wishing everyone a blessed, safe and happy New Year’s Eve and an amazing New Year!! To Our Health, Happiness and Success!!
What lesson will you take into 2022 with you?
Taking a moment to say thank you to everyone for your support.
Wishing Everyone a Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!
See you on the flip side everyone!
There are so many memories that make Christmas especially hard for me, and while I choose Joy as much as I possibly can, I cannot help but recognize that a lot of us continue to struggle especially this year.
I wanted to say you are not alone. There is a God who sees and hears you but there are also a lot of people like me who feel the same way and pray for you every day.
So as we all prepare a place, let us also pray for all those who are unable to travel to see their loved ones, for those who feel alone or isolated, who are homeless or morning the loss of a loved one, let us pray for everyone. I know I could use a lot of prayers and if we are all honest, I am sure we all could.
I know I will be praying for everyone and encourage all of you to do the same. Give me one thing you are thankful for and one thing you are struggling with and I will pray for and with you. Let’s make it a movement of prayer.
I will start; God has been so good to us and while things are not perfect, they are perfect for us! I ask that everyone keep my small business in your prayers.
Thank you for all of you who will take the time to pray for me and others.
I pray that you all have a blessed Christmas and that your cup run over with love!
Whew! Who else is exhausted after an amazing Thanksgiving? I do not know about you, but for me being able to be together with not only my daughters and cousin laughing, eating and just spending time together this year seemed extra special!
Let me tell you it was quite a wild ride this year, dealing with the pandemic and fighting to keep my dream of entrepreneurship alive. To be honest I cannot believe it is the end of November already! Sooo crazy because at times the year seemed to be dragging out and other times it felt like it was flying by.
Even though it was a tough year with many ups and downs, we were able to bring our online shop to life. And today I am excited to announce that the shop is now officially open!
