🌽🏗️This morning, we started silage harvest for the cows at MVP Dairy. Then some cranes helped us move our chemical tanks for the new building!

We’re fortunate to have a team of great people & feel especially thankful during this time of year!

It’s almost silage time 🌽

Our team in the shop is making sure our two choppers are ready for the 2,100 acres of corn silage ahead of us! 🐄🌽

Reece’s dad, Andrew, is an operator and semi truck driver here & we were flattered Reece chose to include us in his 4-H project this year! 🚜🇺🇸

This week, we hosted Ohio NoTill Council Field Day at MVP Dairy. 🌱
We got to hear more about no-till, cover crops, water quality, soil health and watch a rainfall demonstration. Thank you to all of the speakers & attendees 🌧️🌽

We’ve been doing some updates around the farm to better serve our customers! We installed a new and improved grain probe for samples. 🌽🚜 And the new chemical building that will provide a more efficient flow for mixing and loading. 🥽🧪We can’t wait to put the to good use!

Has anyone seen the crop duster planes or sprayer drones at work lately? They are helping us prevent the presence of vomitoxins (fungus) in the corn! 🌽

This is an important step in growing healthy, disease-free corn. The entire corn plant will be harvested as silage to feed to the cows at MVP Dairy. Any fungus in their feed could impact the cows’ health.

Our team has completed the dirt work and building pads for two expansions at our home base. We've added to our shop, and VanTilburg Farms, Inc. will have new fertilizer and chemical storage soon for VTF-Sunrise 🌱🚧

This past weekend, we brought a tractor out to the New Knoxville Community Park Association Independence Day Celebration for their Touch-A-Truck event. We were very glad to share our equipment with everyone who came!

For the month of April we wanted to share and spread smiles by helping someone get their garden/flower beds started with a Gift Certificate to Natures Green Nursery.

So many great entries and we Thank each and every one of you who submitted someone so deserving. This month we chose Pat Kanney of Coldwater for her 25 years of service at Coldwater Exempted Village Schools and her many hours of volunteering! Congratulations Pat and Have fun in your retirement!!!!

Jett planted our first rows of sweet corn yesterday! 🌽🚜 The remaining 24 rows will be spaced out between 7-10 days. We’re ready for sweet corn all summer long! ☀️🌱

We may have gotten a few more gray hairs watching them, but it is fun to see some of the next generation learning the tricks of the trade!

Luke VanTilburg is the recipient of the 2024 Lake Campus Outstanding Alumnus Award. Luke is the CFO of the VTF Family of companies which consists of VanTilburg Farms, VTF Excavation, VTF Sunrise, and MVP Dairy. He and his two brothers have proudly grown the family business from 14 employees to 135 in the last 20 years. VanTilburg also serves as a member of the Western Ohio Educational Foundation.
