Last week the Warriors sent our first ever full team to The Junior Olympics in Texas. Our 14u Boys ended up with a 4-4 record while beating teams from Texas, California, and New York. Our team battled in all of our games and were on the brink of a few more wins. It is a great start for our Warrior team. We also had 2 of our boys (Gabe and Milo) join another team and gain valuable experience. In addition, we had 4 16 and under players participate as well (2 in California JO’s). Lots of great things happening with the Arapahoe Warrior Aquatics water polo team!
Kearns Tournament is a wrap with a win over Olympus with the final score of 17-4 and a 3rd place finish. The only loss was to the overall winners in Kearns. Great job boys—time to get back to work and prepare for JO’s in Dallas.
The 14u Boys took care of business this evening by taking down the Neptunes Girls team 17-7. In the Fall we tied the same Neptunes team so we are making substantial progress. 1 more tomorrow to battle for 3rd place. Last game best game!
Game number 2 in Utah was a tough one. We lost to Kearns 19-11. Kearns will advance to the championship game. We have one more game against our friendly neighbors from Boulder. We will be battling to get to the 3rd place game tomorrow. Good news is our players still had fun at lunch!
W for the Win! 1-0 in Utah for our 14u Boys team. We had a tough battle with South Davis but came away with a 15-11 victory. Next up the number one host team Kearns. Go Warriors!
Progress…check! The Warriors Water Polo team participated in the Duke’s Tournament in Albuquerque this past weekend and came away with our first ever first place finishes twice. We also had a second place finish which is a first as well. Both our 10u and 12u teams came in first and our 15u Warrior Black team came in 2nd (we had two teams in the 15u division). Back to work on Tuesday!

Something fun is brewing at Warrior Aquatics. 10u and 11u scrimmage victories yesterday vs the Neptunes from Boulder. Congrats Warriors!
Congratulations to our water polo athletes that were selected to represent the Mountain Zone Team at the 2023 Olympic Development Program Super Regional Tournament - Nick Gamet, Rowan Warner, William Pooler, Boston Crew, Mary McKinley, Maggie McKinley. Good luck to our Warrior Aquatics athletes this weekend in Dallas!
Well, the Warriors 14u squad fought a tough battle and fell to the Neptunes 14-8. It was a close hard fought match with the Neptunes ultimately pulling away. We did earn our second trophy of the tournament by taking a well earned 2nd place. Our 12u squad also received a 3rd place trophy and I could not be more proud of both groups. We are ready to get back to work and be better for our upcoming tournaments. Stay tuned…
Warrior Polo had a very successful day yesterday with the 12u beating 2 Colorado teams handily. First was the Neptunes B team from Boulder with a decisive win and then the same result versus the Pirates of Aurora. The 12u team finished with 2 big wins and 2 narrow losses. Overall, they played very well.
For the 14u, they took care of business and beat the Mesa team from Arizona. That win puts them in the championship game versus, you guessed it, the Neptunes. This is a rematch of a hard fought win over the Neptunes on Friday. Warriors are always ready and we are happy to have the opportunity to win the 14u division. Go Warriors!!
Warriors playing in Albuquerque this weekend. Yesterday the 14u squad went 2-0 with a hard fought 9-7 win over the Neptunes and then beat Duke from Albuquerque 13-7.
For the 12u squad we lost a 4th quarter lead and fell to Albuquerque Water Polo Club. With only 2 subs we ran out of steam down the stretch and lost by 2.
Great day for both Warriors teams. 12u has 3 games today and 14u has 1 game. Go Warriors!
