Did you all know the secret to achieve maximum blonde and keep your hair healthy? You either need to come in consistently (every 6-8 weeks) OR already have naturally blonde hair.

This particular client is very blonde naturally and only gets her highlights done every 4-5 months. Because of this we don’t have to use very strong lightener on her hair which keeps it healthy.

When clients with naturally darker hair (I’m looking at you “I was blonde as a kid” folks. PS I’m guilty of it too).
Going too long in between color services when you have darker hair naturally can make it harder to achieve the bright blonde we want and love. Lightener processes more evenly and quicker when it’s closer to the scalp. This means we can use a more gentle lightener to keep our hair safe and healthy.

So, if it’s been a while and you can see a couple inches of roots it’s time to make an appointment! Your hair will thank you!! And so will I! ♥️♥️♥️

Lighter and brighter is what this mama wanted before she started her new job! A new Lob for a new job if you will!

I love being able to give clients their dream hair! We talked for weeks about this big chop. Many texts were exchanged and lots of late night encouraging convos were had! Sometimes it was her talking me into it!!! I think we’re both happy that we went through with it!

Today I was blessed to have my Blondies work wife, Cameron Bednark, at the studio. We chopped some hair and laughed out butts off! Love you girl! Thanks for the new do!

Happy Easter!!! I hope that everyone is getting to spend the day with loved ones, either in person or virtually.

What are your Easter traditions?

I always go to church, make a bunny cake, and have brunch at my sister K**a’s house. Today, I enjoyed from my parents couch and will be having brunch with the two of them.

It’s been 10 days since I’ve been able to do hair. 10 days since I was forced to close my salon door. 10 days since I’ve had the pleasure of seeing my gorgeous clients.

I miss you all! I miss talking, laughing, and crying with you. I miss getting to be creative and to help make you feel beautiful. You are the reason I love what I do. The reason work has never felt like work!

Thank you for being patient during this time. It’s a struggle to get everyone rescheduled during a time that is so uncertain. I promise when we meet again, I will be bringing my A game!!! I’m coming back better than ever to serve you!

It’s with a heavy heart that I must close the shop until April 30th due to the mandated closure of salons across Colorado. I will be in contact over the next few days to reschedule appointments and talk about options for you during this closure. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

I’ve been feeling super down with everything happening in the world and I refused to be sad on my favorite holiday. So I got up and put my Paddy’s gear on and tried to celebrate the best I could. I miss all of you this year but next year will be amazing!!!

Business at Cat Mac Hair Studio is happening as usual and you can rest assured that I am taking every precaution to keep you healthy and safe. In light of the recent spread of COVID-19, I have increased my already thorough cleaning practices and protocols, including disinfecting all surfaces, chairs, and equipment in between every client. I am grateful to be working in a private suite at Solera who is also working diligently to keep us all safe.
I ask that any client who is feeling ill to please stay home and take care of yourself. I am happy to reschedule you when you’re feeling better.
