Guards or no guards, who cares? You should, that’s who! Ask for a “number 2” and you may get something different with each stylist and each different clipper, blade or guard they use. A guard makes it difficult to factor in your head shape, lumps, indents, hair density/color variations, etc. These are things you can’t hide in a men’s cut. Ask your stylist or barber if she is skilled at clipper over comb and scissor cuts. Make sure you receive an in depth consultation. The stylist or barber who has the knowledge, skills and creative vision has the ability to deliver a hair cut and style customized specifically for you - to make you look you very best. That ability can literally change your life. You deserve it, it’s priceless!
