Huge thank you to the Clemson University College of Education for collaborating with Mr. Stinehart's class on several forest science lessons this year! The exciting lesson shown here featured the students creating art pieces of animals and hiding them in the forest. Then they got to find each other's animals in a giant hide-and-seek game, demonstrating camouflage and how animals are adapted to live in a forest ecosystem!
How’s your summer going!? Some of our CAA staff had the opportunity to attend the Kennedy Center’s Arts Education Conference in Washington, D.C. this week. They enjoyed learning new arts integration strategies and sight seeing our nation’s capital!

Mr. Stinehart’s class worked hard growing crops in their spring garden this semester, then on Monday they built a forest reading tipi and invited Mrs. Patterson’s Kindergarteners to enjoy them both with them! Each student was partnered with a buddy who read to them in the tipi and guided them to learn about and taste some of their garden crops. It was a beautiful day for both grades! 🪵📚🥬

On Friday, our first graders walked up the street to Collins Ole Towne. Students took a trip back in time to this 1930’s town. Students toured a recreated school house, general store and a chapel. They also took a hayride around the grounds, played games and had a picnic lunch. CAA is lucky to be so close to this hidden gem.

We are so proud of our students, and all the hard work they have put in over the last few weeks while completing state testing! Mrs. Brady worked with all of our students to make a school dance music video that reminded our students how to "get their head in the game!" A huge thanks to her for choreographing and teaching our students, and Mrs. Prosser for her tech help in pulling it all together! Enjoy the video! 🏀❤️
Our kindergarten teachers and students would like to express their gratitude to Mrs. Bolin for providing the jump ropes for Jump Rope Day. Her hard work in PE teaching students how to jump rope was evident!
