Our mortgage bank is currently experiencing rapid growth. We are interested in expanding our capacity to provide residential mortgage loans and refinance loans to more borrowers, and we are looking for an experienced residential mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for accurately managing residential real estate loan documentation through our established systems, and reviewing it to ensure it is completed in full and complies with current banking and lending regulations and policies.
Essential Job Functions:
• Review initial loan approval and work with Borrower to gather appropriate documentation
• Work collaboratively with other Processors to create solutions for Borrowers
• Collect all required documentation for the loan package
• Create a loan submission package for the Underwriting department
• Submit files to assigned Underwriter
• Satisfy all conditions when received from Underwriter
• Ensure that approval falls within the established lending guidelines
• Bank statement income calculations
• DSCR understanding
• LLC/Corporation understanding
• Communicate with other professionals, including attorneys, county clerks and title companies
Basic Qualifications:
• Professional demeanor
• Customer-service oriented
• Excellent organization skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Discretion with sensitive and confidential Borrower information
• In-depth knowledge of real estate and lending laws in California
• Basic knowledge of underwriting terminology
• Computer proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• 3+ years experience residential mortgage loan processing (NO EXCEPTIONS)
• Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with various Microsoft systems
• Associate's Degree in Finance or related field
• Proficient in Encompass
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required

Education:
• High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
• Fair Housing Regulations: 1 year (Preferred)
• Non QM Loan Processing: 1 year (Required)
