Harvesting has started! We have zucchini, beets, kohlrabi, kale, carrots, onions, cherry tomatoes, lots of green tomatoes (for those that love fried green tomatoes), and a couple ripe slicing tomatoes. Give me a call at (308) 430-1875 if you would like to swing out to 436 Beaver Valley Road outside of Chadron, NE to get some fresh produce. (Please note ~ we are closed on Saturdays.) We hope to set up our produce stand next Friday from 9 am to 2 pm in the bank parking lot across from Safeway.

Please note our new hours: Monday through Thursday from noon until 6 pm.

We wanted to let everyone know that we have switched to summer hours as the produce garden is in full swing. But don’t hesitate to come out because we still have some nice hanging baskets and flower arrangements as well as a few flowers.

P.S. Isn’t this table and chairs set just perfect for displaying flowers? We are very thankful for the wonderful neighbors that gifted them to us!

Where are my garlic lovers??? Look what we are starting to harvest ~ garlic scapes! Message me if you want any!

For those that have maybe never heard of them, they are the tender stem and flower bud of a hardneck garlic plant. They “taste like a unique blend of onion, scallion and garlic. However, scapes are usually less fiery and have a fresher, ‘greener’ taste than the actual garlic bulbs. The texture is similar to that of asparagus.”
