Finals week is bearable at Newman House!

Tonight was a special occasion as we gathered for our final Newman Night of the year. After enjoying a lovely meal together, we separated into groups based on our school years to share stories about Jesus and our own experiences. As we wrapped up our Bible Study, emotions ran high with expressions of gratitude and tears shed for some students. The heart and soul of Newman House truly shines through each of you, spreading joy and love among one another. Thank you to all students, volunteers, Board members , Kayla Our Director and a special thanks to Jesus, for making this year so meaningful.
Tonight the last Newman Night of the year. Hailey Jageler and Chloe Rankin were honored with the Olive Oil Award, while Alexis Kramer received scholarships. These outstanding individuals are valuable leaders in our Newman House. Thank you for your unwavering dedication, commitment, and passion for Newman.”

Our team leader’s meeting tonight was wonderful; we shared the joyful news that more students had stepped forward to become leaders for the upcoming school year at our Chadron Newman House. On a bittersweet note, a few students are about to graduate. Please keep the new leadership in your prayers. God is good.
Tomorrow marks the final men’s group gathering of the year. We’ll be enjoying a delicious dinner with two of the gentlemen featured in the pictures. We would love for you to join !!!
Hiking Trip In Custer State Park. (Part 2)
Before the final week, we enjoyed a wonderful hiking trip together in Custer State Park. Our friendship is growing stronger as a result. We are grateful to God for everything. ( Part 1)

A total of 450 volunteers helped dozens of Chadron organizations and people with spring cleaning and repairs, as well as offering assistance and cheering, thus contributing to the care and improvement of our community. Many of them are active members of CSC Newman House. Thank you, everyone!!

It was a fantastic weekend for our Chadron Newman House. After we attended the big event in Chadron, the Black Hill State University Newman Center invited us for a formal dinner and dance. We have the opportunity to meet some new students, Focus missionaries, engage and bond with members of our Newman House. Thank you, BHSU Newman Center, for your hospitality

When you're in college, Newman House is OPEN general hours run from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM: These hours vary depending on what is going on at the house. Hours may run longer when activities, study sessions, and movie nights are underway. Just know that at any given time, you will have access during the hours of 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
The Kitchen is yours for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a freezer for anyone wanting to bring goods from home. All we ask is that you clean up after yourselves and mark any personal foods.
The Back Deck is a great place to grill that steak or those burgers. The propane is always full. Fall and spring are beautiful times for cook-outs.
The Father Ed Cortney Prayer Room is a quiet, prayerful space for study, personal devotions or even a cat-nap. It features a stained-glass window from the original St. Patrick's Church.
The Dining/Living Room on the main floor are open for use and there is a large screen television, wall mounted, and available for your use anytime the house is opened.
The Front Porch is a wide-open, old-fashioned space from which to watch the busiest street around campus. Catch the action from the swing. The back porch has recently been refinished and is outfitted with lounging chairs and outdoor lights. This is a great space to hang out with friends!
Downstairs features the Newman Lounge. A popular spot for watching movies, and study. If you are active at the Newman House you are invited to use the facilities.
Also available at the Newman House is our laundry facility. Those active Newman members who do not have access to a washer and dryer are welcomed to come and use our facility.
The House, Lounge, Kitchen, and other amenities are always accessible from the front door and the lights are always on. We only ask that if you drive over, you don't block the driveway.
The entire House is tooled for free WI-FI. Log on anytime.
