St. Patrick's is hiring a Pastoral Minister. This position is part-time.
Duties include:
*Provide pastoral ministry to parishioners.
*Visit the homebound.
*Work with families to plan funerals,
*Reach out to parish newcomers.
*Work with pastor on adult enrichment
opportunities.
I.E. Grief Groups, Young Moms groups, etc.

The last 40 hours have been a whirlwind!

I traveled about 840 miles round trip from Chadron to Lincoln and back to advocate for family child care, then jumped straight into work today.
I’m grateful to have joined forces with fellow Family Child Care Home providers: Elizabeth Rerucha Arnold from Just Like Mine Daycare, Carey from Busy Buddies, and Shannon Marie Hampson from Wild Child Daycare, alongside myself, Jennifer Lee Baumann of The Playschool.

Together, we met with Senator Deb Fischer’s office to discuss the importance of Child Care Development Block Grants and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). These programs are essential not only for helping us provide high-quality care and nutritious meals but also for supporting the families we serve. They ensure that children receive the best possible start in life while alleviating some of the financial burdens on parents.

With state legislatures back in their home states this August, it’s a great time to catch them and advocate for the changes we need. I’m also excited to share that the The National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC)
is launching “August Advocacy in Action” starting August 12, focusing on raising awareness and advocating for important federal actions in our sector.

Let’s unite our voices and make a difference for the future of child care!
