Live United
Strengthening community requires time, courage, and people dedicated to making an impact. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of Franklin County - and we make a difference, together, because of people like you. It takes a community of businesses, volunteers, and donors to empower our neighbors in need to achieve their potential through education, financial stability and healthy living.
In 2017, the United Way of Franklin County supported agencies and programs that touched the lives of at least 22,120 people thanks to contributions from businesses and individuals alike.
How do we impact lives? We raise funds to support 27 local agencies serving the needs of children, families and adults through Early Learning, Healthy Living and Financial Stability. We also partner with organizations and businesses on community-wide initiatives, such as Healthy Franklin County, to address issues in our area. Additionally, we administer a workforce training program, Stepping Forward Works, to fill the job skills gap that employers have identified as a significant issue to our local workforce needs. The program serves the chronically unemployed and underemployed, connecting them with scholarships for job training and providing support to help them find steady, gainful employment in Franklin County.
How can you get involved to make a difference? We’re always looking for volunteers and partners to contribute. Contact our office at 717-262-0015 or [email protected]. You can also give online at www.uwfcpa.org/give.
