What is milia? ⚪️

•Milia are small, pearl like hard white/yellow cysts that form when dead skin cells get trapped under your skin. ⚪️

•Milia forms under a thin layer of skin and not in a pore so there is no opening in the skin to squeeze it out (like a pimple does). Make sure you never try to pop milia. It will not work, and it can actually damage your skin and cause scarring. There's no reason to treat them unless they are bothering you and then in that case make sure you get them removed by a professional that can remove them without damaging your skin. 😊

How to treat milia:

•Exfoliate regularly (2-3x a week)

•Retinoids
•Go see a professional to get proper extraction and avoid damaging your skin
