It's Motorcycle Safety Month, and Jeff Mugongo is reflecting on the heroic efforts of the medical teams at Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center who saved both of his legs after he was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle in the Eat Valley last July.

Expert orthopedic and plastic surgeons, who uniquely work as a singular team in Chandler Regional's Level I Trauma Center performed seven different procedures to treat an open fracture and a large soft tissue injury to Jeff's legs. Thanks to this specialized care, Jeff avoided an amputation. Nearly one year later, Jeff is back to working out daily and motivating young athletes through his JTS Fitness leadership program!

May is , and Dr. Claudia Chambers has dedicated her career to not only caring for women, but also teaching the next generation of obstetrics and gynecology physicians. Dr. Chambers is a longtime OB/GYN with the Dignity Health Medical Group Arizona and St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center who provides care for pregnant women and also specializes in minimally invasive surgery and cervical disorders among other conditions. 🙌 Hats off to all of our amazing Women's Health providers!

Yesterday, Dignity Health Medical Group Offices from around the Valley donated essential items to the Austin Centers for Exceptional Students (ACES) Peoria campus.

Arizona Diamondbacks Mascot, Baxter, joined in the fun and brought joy and encouragement to the children while Arizona Cardinals Mascot, Big Red, and the Cardinals Cheerleaders brought smiles and high fives to the students.

Dignity Health St Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center Trauma Team work closely with the Phoenix Fire Department on pre-hospital procedures. This training program consists of weekly sessions that will continue throughout the year.
