Hey There Pretty Mommas🪆

Did you know that low-risk pregnant mothers can hand express colostrum as early as 36-37 weeks prego ?

Having a small stash on hand is super helpful if you are trying to avoid formula feeding your newborn.

Keep in mind this is beneficial to have on hand right after the birth of your baby. (the first days of life)

Some of examples of how to know you maybe in need :
Gestational Diabetic
Diabetic Type1 & 2
Baby is Small for gestational age
Baby is Large for Gestational age
Latch difficulties ..

studies have stated that there is no association in causing early labor .

09/09/2021

Check in on the ones you love ..
Ask how they are REALLY doing..

The Postpartum Period is intense ..
We need to utilize our village .. or create one…

Postpartum parents NEED EXTRA LOVE & PRACTICAL SUPPORT❤️✨

09/03/2021

The clothes are all washed ..
folded and put away..
The nursery has been decorated…
and ready to be used ..
The labor & delivery bag has been packed and ready to go .
All the baby supplies & latest gadgets are on stand by ..

Let create a Postpartum Plan that will help you become even more prepared .. It’s a sleep deprived beautiful chaos.. and a little plan can lighten the load..

Having a Postpartum Plan is so helpful in navigating the real and raw moments…

We have been told by Society that the more we sacrifice our own needs for our children, the better Moms we are …

Society needs to shift its narrative, this is not only false , it is Toxic.

Mommas we too have to shift our mind frames and let go of the guilt that comes with taking a minute for ourselves.

Mothers -

We need to do the work, claim our voices .

We need to model healthy boundaries.

We need to be honest with ourselves and ask for help when in need.

We need to lean on our partners and/or support systems.

We need to allow room for equitable household duties.

We need to model not only
self-maintenance but Self-care.

We need to normalize doing our best rather than doing the most .

And most importantly we need to applaud Mommas who put themselves first, instead of chastising them .

Families need , the world needs Happy, Health Mommas .🌈💕💡

Some new dads go through the same overwhelming stress as new moms.

Dads feelings matter👏

Don’t forget to ask Dad how he is doing emotionally too!

Why should breastfeeding moms have to choose between being an Olympic athlete and being a mother? THAT’S RIGHT THEY SHOULDN’T! 👏

Another way that mommas and women are changing the world! 💛🌱

Baby Blues VS Postpartum Depression... Let’s Dive into the difference.

Baby blues are emotional ups and downs during the first few weeks of pregnancy that naturally go away with support, rest, and good nutrition 💛

Postpartum Depression can include the following: sadness, crying jags, feeling overwhelmed, irritability, agitation, or anger, sleep disturbance, changes in appetite, mood swings, apathy, or exhaustion. ☹️

If you are experiencing any of symptoms relating to Postpartum depression, contact Postpartum Support International at 1-800-944-4773💛🌱✨

Hands on Pumping- helping you establish breastmilk supply in your early Postpartum days.

Once you’ve given birth to your little miracle, we recommend that you begin breast pumping within 6 hours.

Breast massage before and during your pump sessions to help obtain more breastmilk for feedings!

💛Pumping can be done 8-12 times per 24 hours!
💛We recommend that you go no longer than 4 hours without pumping just to make sure that you don’t jeopardize your milk production goal.
💛Use a hospital grade pump with a double pump kit and wear a bra that will hold the flanges in place while you perform breast massage during the pumping session.

Make sure that your breast pump flanges are the correct size by: having no pain present when pumping, no white ring around the ar**la, and ni***es move freely in and out during your pumping session!

One might see only drops the first few days Postpartum, don't fret this is normal, your small amount of the superfood colostrum will change to mature milk within 2-5 days.

Motherhood Reminders💛
Hello Lovelies!
Just wanted to Remind you..

Defining your boundaries is important momma.✨

Especially after you have brought life into this world🌱💛

Know your boundaries and respect them! You got this!🤩

07/08/2021

According to the American Academy of pediatrics (AAP), the best start for breastfeeding is when a baby is kept skin to skin immediately after birth and until the first feeding has finished, or as long as momma wishes.🙏🏼

Here are some benefits of skin-to-skin contact:
✨Enhanced bonding between mom and baby
✨Helps babe regulate its temp and heart rate
✨Helps babe regulate their breathing and blood sugar
✨Baby and mom are calmer and more soothed
✨Helps with shrinking the uterus back to size
✨Regulates baby’s heart rate and temperature
✨Baby will cry less
✨Helps establish breastfeeding\
✨Accelerates the babe’s adaption to the outside world
✨Mom’s harmless bacteria colonizes baby, providing protection from illness.

If you have any questions, DM us! We are here to help you and baby💛🍏
