Thank you Encompass Health for having Koelsch Communities team members take part in the recent in-service training! We always appreciate the opportunity to spread the word about our communities and the many offerings we provide here in Arizona.

Even though we offer a full Active Living program for residents 7 days per week, many residents find purpose in spending time with team members and getting things done around the community. This is a great way for residents to spend quality time with our team members and engage in tasks they find interesting, meaningful, or familiar.

This is Copper Creek Inn’s “Forever Tree”.

Our forever tree is a great reminder to be happy, love big, live peacefully, and don’t forget to laugh! Our residents love helping our team by cutting out the leaves for each holiday. ❤️🍁

Our philosophy since day one has been to treat each resident with the respect and dignity they deserve. Now, more than 60 years later, we remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering on that promise. This includes continually evaluating new and evolving care techniques for those living with a form of dementia, Alzheimer’s or memory loss.

Last week, we hosted João Pärtel Araújo, RN, BSN, at our Canterbury Gardens community in Longview, WA, to train a group of our team members in the Humanitude™ care methodology. A new concept in the United States, Humanitude is a person-centered approach to care that originated in Europe and prioritizes deploying techniques that develop caregiver/resident relationships built on trust, so people feel safe, comfortable and dignified during the provision of care.

We are proud to be at the forefront of bringing Humanitude to America, consistently prioritizing how we care for seniors and their families, as well as our staff.
