As we gear up for Valentine’s Day ❤️ I thought it would be fun to share a recipe involving roses 🌹

This recipe makes a cup and a half, so there’s plenty to cook and bake with, as well as use as a facial toner 👩‍🦱 or a room spritz🧚‍♂️.

🥀 1 cup fresh rose petals, rinsed
💦 1 1/2 cups distilled water.

Add the petals and the water to a small saucepan over high heat.
As soon as the water starts to simmer, turn it down to low heat. Cover with a lid.
Allow to simmer for 30 minutes or until the petals lose all color (if using pink or red petals).
Let sit for 20 to 30 minutes to cool.
Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, to remove all the petals and small pieces.
Put in a jar and save in the refrigerator for up to 30 days ☀️
