Well, just saw this! Really hit me hard to see it officially updated on Yelp! I sent the closing post myself, but just saw it! While it is hard saying goodbye to what I LOVED, DEVOTED and SHARED for the last 10yrs, I’m so proud that we NEVER went below 4.5 out of 5 possible Yelp rating stars! Thank Yelpers for your reviews and constructive criticisms! To any restaurant owners that dislike Yelp, I wasn’t a huge fan either, but it IS a great tool to keep you on your toes! I did give Wimpy’s Paradise 5 stars on my final closing review! 😊👍🌭🍔🇺🇸👍👊🌈🥟🍦🍺🥞🥓

3,650 days ago I opened PittsburghWilly’s Gourmet Hot Dogs & more! 1,620 days ago I closed Pittsburgh Willy’s and opened Wimpy’s Paradise in beautiful downtown Chandler. It included the PittsburghWilly menu! This Monday, September 3rd at 4pm our family will serve the last hamburger/Hot Dogs/Hugs! We are so deeply sorry to vacate our much loved and family driven restaurant! I realized early on in this business we were providing much more than quality food and amazing service, we were providing a place for everyone to enjoy and relax, get an ear to listen or arms to hug you. I tried my best to make sure EVERY person that walked through our door had a quality and memorable dining experience! The friendships I and my family have formed are amazing. The many “customers” that walked in NOT hungry, but emotionally hurting will be the ones I will treasure the most! So many stories, tears, laughs and so many HUGS! To have a place that people sought out when they needed a great burger, hot dog, Breakfast, Ice cream or just comfort was most important! I have SO MANY stories, so many loving memories! This decision was difficult! I’m turning 65 next month and while I have the heart of youngster, my body keeps reminding me I’m not! I’m not disappearing from the food scene totally! More on that later! But the day to day 12-15 hour days are no longer possible. This has been my PASSION for 10 years! So many friends and family have helped me keep it going all these years, and I still have many to repay! My future plans should allow me more time to relax and still keep me out and about in the East Valley! So please stop in Saturday 11-7, Sunday 8-3 (breakfast/lunch) or Labor Day Monday 10-4 for one last Wimpy’s award winning Burger or Hot Dog & Hugs. Thank you EVERYONE for allowing me and my family the sincere pleasure to serve you, feed you, and love you like family!!!!! Over the next few days I’ll be posting pictures from the last 10 years! Sorry for the late notice but Wimpy’s Paradise will be closed today, Thursday August 30th due to an unscheduled Dr’s Appointment! I will update the hours for the rest of the w/e through Tuesday soon as I know more!

Well, Wimpy’s Paradise is closed again today! ( yet another issue)I will let everyone know about tomorrow! I’m in Chandler Regional ER being worked up for a possible mild stroke! Been a rough few days! My hero Cara had her final tests done today at PCH and she’s doing better! Just told I’m being admitted so no Wimpy’s Paradise tomorrow! Prayers and happy thoughts are welcome! Wimpy’s will be closed one more day! I’m spending the day with My hero at the hospital. I NEED to do this, but will be back open 11:00 am Thursday for regular hours 11-7pm Thank you ALL for your prayers.... so wonderful to read so many comments of prayers and love for my hero Cara and our family! Friends, My granddaughter Cara was admitted again last night to PCH. We will be closed today. I’m so sorry to have to close again on short notice. Please accept my apologies and keep Cara and our family in your prayers. This is taking a toll on our family and our restaurant. Everyone has been so supportive and understanding and we are SO thankful for your continued love, prayers, assistance and support! I will keep you updated on restaurant hours and future! Hugs!!! Just had two great guys attempt the Wimpy’s Paradise 5story belly buster burger challenge! Both did it under the 30 minute time limit, but no new record set! (6:30) is the current record! Meet Juan Gonzalez and Mike Tawfik!

Walked into the restaurant just now and my refrigerator that holds all the meat and other food items wasn’t working! Lost EVERYTHING! So We will be closed today! I will spend the day shopping, prepping, and getting everything new and fresh for tomorrow! And get the fridge working! So sorry for any inconvenience! Happy National Hot Dog day! Well, it’s one of 3 being celebrated this month! But today is the sausage councils “official” day of celebrating the hot dog! So Wimpy’s Paradise/Pittsburgh Willy’s will be celebrating with all our Gourmet hot dogs for just $5! And we will have regular grilled 6” hot dogs for $2 each or 3-4-$5! And that special includes our home made no bean 6” chili n cheese dogs too! Mix or match em....3-4-$5! Open 11-7 today and we would love share a National Hot dog day with YOU!!!! ( sorry, our Chicago classic dog isn’t available today)
