⭐️Summer Acro at DAC officially kicks off in less than a week!⭐️

Our summer acro session starts July 29!
✨Did you know DAC is an Acrobatic Arts certified studio? 🩷With highly trained and knowledgeable staff, we have a successful and established program to help dancers of all levels grow and develop their acrobatic skills in a safe environment. We focus on building the foundation and training for our dancers to further grow their skills- in the correct format- with technique and precision so they can effectively progress while keeping their bodies safe & less prone to injuries! ( An aerial with bent knees, flexed feet and a hard landing is never a good idea😱😜😬)

From a forward roll to a standing back tuck, we can help your dancer grow & get closer their acro goals one step at a time 🙌

We make sure every class has an ideal teacher to student ratio. Because of this, class sizes are limited. Be sure to sign up today to save your spot! (Link in bio)

TECHNIQUE THURSDAY: JULY 11 & 25!

Our technique classes on Thursdays are a great way to keep your dancing up to par this summer. We have our next tech class THIS THURSDAY with Miss Ashley!

These classes are open to all dancers (you don't have to be a current DAC dancer to attend- all are welcome!)

SUMMER ACRO AT DAC!

Our summer acro classes are open and taking registrations! Classes begin on July 29 and run through Aug 22.
We are an Acrobatic Arts certified studio and divide the classes based on skill progression. (See second slide for class descriptions)
Whether you are looking to build the foundational acro elements or further progress your current skills, we have a class for you!

OUR DAC SUMMER INTENSIVE IS JULY 16-18! ⭐️
We couldn't be more excited for our amazing instructors we have lined up! It's going to be a great 3 days of dancing, growing and having fun!
Only able to make it one or two days? No worries! Dancers can sign up for 1, 2 or all 3 days- whatever works for your schedule!
This is going to be a great way to bring your dancing to the next level, learning from some of the best of the best. We can't wait! Be sure to tell your friends- this is open to all dancers! (you do not need to be a DAC dancer to attend.)

Our competition teams are a program for dancers that want to further their technique, self-confidence, team camaraderie and performing skills.
The DAC competitive team program consists of 11 performing teams, ages pre-k through high school, ranging from intermediate to advanced dancers.

As we head into our recital weekend, we are thrilled to celebrate our amazing seniors. They are our leaders and role models at the studio, for both younger dancers and their teammates! This is a bittersweet weekend as we will miss them so much, but are excited to watch them soar and see the amazing things they are about to do as they embark on this next journey in their lives. And our second and final senior is... Sophia.

Name: Sophia

I am graduating from Chanhassen High School! I plan on attending Iowa State University and majoring in Criminal Justice.

When I am not dancing I love hanging out with friends, traveling, and listening to music.

A fun fact about me is I did karate for two weeks :)

My advice to younger dancers is to savor every single moment at DAC. Take the extra classes, get dinner after dance with your team, and take as many opportunities as possible to create those memories that will stay with you forever. You not only grow as a dancer but also as a person at DAC by building relationships and a place to call home. I'm sure you're tired of hearing this, but it couldn't be more true. Remember every moment- the big and the small.

I am graduating from Minnetonka High School 💙

I will be attending University of Wisconsin Madison and majoring in International Affairs and Economics.

When I’m not dancing, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, spending time outside in the summer, reading, and listening to music!

A fun fact about me is that I’ve lived on 3 continents.

My advice to younger dancers is to be present in the moment and stay grounded. Always remember that at the end of the day dance is meant to be for you! Also be sure to appreciate the amazing community that allows you to grow both in character and in technique. Every teacher at DAC has so much to offer, so trust their knowledge and apply their feedback! Lastly, cherish the laughs, the friendships, the struggles, and every little moment at dance 😊♥️

It's a big week for our dancers! Our competition teams are off to their final regional competition of the season and our rec dancers are having a blast in their "Bring a Friend to Dance" classes! So much fun all around!
We can't believe that next week is our last week of classes. Last day is May 23rd😱🙌💖 Where did the year go!?

⭐️CHARACTER IN ACTION AWARDS⭐️
We were flooded with nominations from this last competition- so many amazing things happening behind the scenes that represents our studio motto of “Character First.” We couldn’t be more proud. This family is truly something special. So we would love to share that Character In Action Award recipients are:
⭐️ The DAC Moms⭐️ We know that backstage can bring on challenges and hearing how so many of the amazing moms stepped up & brought comfort to not only their dancer, but others as well, fills our hearts. Special shout out to Shayna, Christine, Marla, and Sarah from the Sparkle team who helped other dancers & moms (during their break!) to make those fast changes happen. Shout out to Amy K who stepped in and calmly helped a dancer from another team find a solution to a missing costume piece. Knowing you had their back & was willing to help in an instant meant the world to this dancer & team. Special shoutout to Karen who calmed a dancer & assisted with fixing her hair so she could feel confident to hit the stage. Special shoutout to Beth and other Starfire moms who stepped up when other parents weren’t able to be at the competition and taking on getting other dancers ready & prepped to hit the stage!
Your love and commitment to “Character First” did not go unnoticed & we appreciate you all so much!
⭐️Xtreme Team: these dancers/role models cheered on and celebrated their buddy team, The Sugar Babies, and made them feel extra loved at the competition, bringing treats & staying to celebrate them. We know that comp weekends are long and so for them to pour into our Littles and show them how loved they are means the world.
⭐️Sophie P: we received the nomination at the competition but the teachers & staff had been noticing how Sophie is everyone’s biggest cheerleader. She always goes above & beyond to watch and cheer everyone on, whether that be at the competition or during regular classes at the studio. She is always lifting others up, whether it be her own teammates or younger dancers. She is such a positive bright light and we love your amazing energy!
