We’re thrilled to have funded the Get Outdoor’s Leadville (GOL!) activity bus. This bus, which now allows more local youth, and families can now join in on GOL!’s amazing outdoor programs – from visiting the sand dunes to ski trips. Click the link in our bio to check out the bus in action! 🚐

Leadville is also home to the iconic Leadville Race Series, one of nearly thirty athletic events owned and produced by Life Time. This project is especially meaningful to us because we not only get to race in this beautiful place but also give back the local community!

The Paris Olympics is the first carbon-neutral Olympics in modern history, offsetting more emissions than the Games create to limit environmental impact.

Here’s how they’re reducing their carbon footprint:
🌿 100% green energy from wind and solar
🏟️ Utilizing existing venues with only two new structures
🥗 80% of 13M athlete meals from local farms
🚴‍♂️ 800 miles of new bike lanes
🌳 300,000 new trees planted

This aligns perfectly with the Life Time Foundation’s mission to inspire a healthier planet by tackling climate change. By minimizing its ecological footprint, the Olympics shows how large-scale events can fight climate change, reduce waste, and promote a healthier planet. 🌱💚

Tracy Paradise and her teammates have accepted the challenge to start dead last at the Chequamegon 40 MTB Race. Why? They are raising money for our Life Time Foundation Back-of-the-Pack Challenge.

The team is asking you to join them on their journey by pledging money for every rider they pass. Pledge $1 per rider and they pass 200 riders – that’s $200 towards their goal of raising $50,000. It’s simple, it’s exciting, it’s for a great cause, and we couldn’t be more excited to see how many riders the team pass. Click the link in our bio to make an impact.

Meet Jonathan! Jonathan is competing in the Marathon & Heavy Half as a Foundation Athlete. He became a Foundation Athlete because he believes that our mission of promoting healthy habits for the next generation is extremely important. While the Life Time Foundation’s mission encompasses all areas of a child’s health, from movement, nutrition, and nature, Jonathan resonates the most with nutrition and movement. “Health is one of the most important things to pay attention to in our lives.”

The Life Time Foundation expresses gratitude for athletes like Jonathan, who are passionate about ensuring that all kids have access to good nutrition and movement, allowing them to live healthy, happy lives.

Happy National Friendship Day! Today, we celebrate one of our partners, NICA, which introduces youth mountain biking programs to communities lacking access to the sport. Through NICA’s initiatives, athletes not only discover the transformative power of mountain biking but also forge life-long friendships! Here’s to making new friends and cherishing the old ones!

As we celebrate World Conservation Day, we wanted to highlight our commitment to inspiring a healthy planet 🌎🌱

From local tree-planting initiatives to broader forestation and conservation programs, the Life Time Foundation is committed to working together to address one of our most urgent challenges, climate change. Since introducing this new pillar in 2023, we have pledged over $2 million to conserve over 100 acres of land, restore the endangered whitebark pine, plant a pocket forest to bring nature to an urban setting, and establish school food forests, all of which have made an impact at the local and national level. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to growing our healthy planet pillar!

Meet Sam! Sam is competing in the Leadville 100 Run as a REPEAT Foundation Athlete. His main motivation is to explore the limits of his potential – to grow, learn, experience, fail, and succeed. Sam has always been passionate about our mission of Healthy People, a Healthy Planet, and a Healthy Way of Life — when the “Healthy Planet” pillar was introduced, it made his connection to the Foundation significantly deeper. “We have one planet. No one individual will destroy that planet and no one individual will save it either. We have to all work together to maintain and support this planet.”

The Life Time Foundation is incredibly grateful for athletes like Sam, who are passionate about making an impact that inspires Healthy People, a Healthy Planet, and a Healthy Way of Life.

The Chef Ann Foundation has partnered with the Life Time Foundation, Arizona Department of Education, and Whole Kids to support the Creating Your Kitchen initiative. Creating Your Kitchen is a program by the Arizona Department of Education, created to support Arizona schools in their work to exceed standards, and provide their students with healthy, delicious meals. Each of the participating 10 Arizona school districts have worked endlessly to improve their school meal programs. Some highlights include the following:

- Implementing a food truck at the high school level, which rotates between three high schools and serves tasty, fresh food.
- Tastings and chef demos to market their school food program, with the goal of adding more plant-based meals into their menus.
- Successfully piloting hot food bars at the middle school level to get students more involved in building their plate of food.

These efforts highlight the collaborative work being done to transform school meal programs, ensuring that students have access to healthy and delicious food, thereby supporting their overall well-being and capacity to thrive. The Life Time Foundation’s commitment to these initiatives underscores its dedication to fostering healthier school environments for youth across Arizona.

The Life Time Foundation is thrilled to announce our new partnership with the Youth Club of Trinidad (TYC). TYC’s after-school and summer programs are making a real difference in the rural communities of Las Animas County, Huerfano County, and into Colfax County by helping local youth build character and make responsible choices.

With our support, TYC is launching a new bike program for at-risk, low-income youth. Many of these kids have never had the chance to ride a bike – until now. Trinidad is also the location for the Life Time Rad Dirt Fest, one of nearly thirty athletic events owned and produced by Life Time, and the Life Time Foundation is proud to support the community that is home to this event.

Meet Avery! Avery is competing in the Leadville 100 Run as a Foundation Athlete. She chose to become a Foundation Athlete because of the Life Time Foundation’s commitment to the health of our young people. Avery especially connects to the movement aspect of our mission. “Raising healthy and strong youth can change the world – movement is medicine. It’s one thing to tell a child to exercise but it’s a whole different ballgame to teach children why they should move and give them creative outlets to do so.”

The Life Time Foundation is grateful for individuals like Avery, whose passion for our mission of Healthy People, a Healthy Planet, and a Healthy Way of Life drives them to compete and make an impact in our children’s lives.

Just because schools are letting out for the summer, that doesn’t mean that school meals are ending. Many children rely on their schools to provide tasty, nutritious meals. The Life Time Foundation believes that every child deserves access to wholesome, nourishing food year-round. Thankfully, many schools are committed to serving meals throughout the summer.

Meet Adam! Adam is competing in the Leadville 100 MTB as a REPEAT Foundation Athlete. Four years ago, a biking accident left him with four broken vertebrae. Today, he has a fusion of six vertebrae in his back. In 2023, Adam wanted to challenge himself and found that the Life Time Foundation aligned with what he was trying to do and leading a healthier lifestyle. He enjoyed representing the Foundation so much that he wanted to do it again this year!

The Life Time Foundation’s mission of Healthy People, a Healthy Planet and a Healthy Way of Life is what inspires Adam the most, as he knows way too many people who have led unhealthy lives and continue to battle chronic illness because of it. “Getting healthy at an early age sets you up for a healthy life!”
