Aaaaand….if you want to avoid all the California 🍓 Festival traffic - there is a Scandinavian Festival in TO and pollinators festival on a complete other side of town in Ventura 😅

I know a lot of people are not happy about the new location and last year it was such a fail. Event created so “much traffic”, it was “so crowded”, “not organised”, a ton of complaints was received, yet it’s happening again this weekend! Two days in a row at the Ventura Fairgrounds and they are providing free shuttles again. To avoid all this traffic, please take a shuttle. 36th Annual California Strawberry Festival at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W. Harbor Blvd, Ventura. The festival features over 150 artists and crafters, a Ninja Nation obstacle course, live entertainment on three stages, carnival rides, a “build-your-own” strawberry shortcake and more. Admission is $15; Military & seniors - $10; Youth 5 to 12 - $8; Children to age 4 - free. Limited parking $20. per vehicle. 6 Locations for free shuttle to and from this event: Ventura County Government Center at 800 S. Victoria Avenue, Ventura, (on the Hill Street side); Pacific View Mall, 3301 E. Main Street, Ventura, (behind the vacant Sears building); Oxnard High School, 3400 Gonzales Road, Oxnard; DeAnza Middle School, 2060 Cameron Street, Ventura; Seaward & Harbor, 955 S. Seaward Avenue, Ventura; and State Beach parking lot at 901 San Pedro Street, Ventura (where parking is $10.) (Event continues tomorrow, also, from 10am to 6:30pm) Check out and take advantage of the Ventura Amtrak - (pick up and drop off station near fairgrounds entrance).

Who is excited for the VC 2023 Fair? 🎠🏰🎡🎢

24th Annual Celebration of the Whales Festival at the Channel Islands Harbor is on Sunday, March 26th! Starting at 10 am and ending by 2 pm. This year’s event will feature two new activities – a concert in the park and a community “paint a whale” mural project. In addition, there will be family-friendly activities, chalk art, shopping, a children’s fun zone, and more. Activities will be held at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, the Channel Islands Harbor Farmers Market, and a “Gray Whale Migration Trail” that runs through Harbor View Park that connects the two activity centers.

Had a great time at the Ventura Pier with my team , having a photo shoot by talented . The pier is particularly closed due to repairs but it’s still very much accessible to enjoy our beautiful views of Ventura and ocean.

Line up of some events this year! Excited for the California Strawberry Festival come back!

Been meaning to post this last year. Finally, got around to visiting the Camarillo Ranch House. It’s only $5 for adults and children are free to enter. Ticket includes a personal guide that will show you the house and tell you history about it. Definitely, worth a visit. Camarillo Ranch House, also known as Rancho Calleguas and Adolfo Camarillo House, is a Queen Anne-style Victorian house in Camarillo, California. Built in 1892, the 6,000-square-foot (560 m2) house was designed by architects Herman Anlauf and Franklin Ward. Adolfo Camarillo operated the ranch for 78 years, changing the operations from mostly cattle to crops. He was a leading innovator, growing lima beans, barley, corn, alfalfa, walnuts, and citrus and eucalyptus trees. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. This Sunday, July 17th, see the return of a Summer Classic Car Show, co-hosted by the Downtown Oxnard Improvement Association and the All-for-One Car Club.

These photos are a taste of what you will see with over 350 Classic and Specialty Autos from all eras that will be showing along a four-block stretch of Historic “A” Street in Downtown Oxnard. The event is free to the viewing public.

In addition to awesome autos on display, there will be live entertainment, and Downtown merchants will be offering food specials. Plenty of free parking will be available on adjacent streets, public lots and the 3rd Street Parking Structure.

Proceeds benefit the Historic Downtown Oxnard Beautification Fund.

Fair visitors can enjoy great musical acts and rodeos FREE with paid admission to the fair.

Good vibrations and great live music will be the standard for the 2022 Grandstand Entertainment series, sponsored by Chumash Casino and Resort.

The VC Fair Grandstand Arena, presented by Firestone 805, will present 8 free concerts covering a range of music from Country to Pop, Rock R&B and Funk.
