All of that is great to say but action is what matters here. So, here’s the present vision:
- Entertaining events and festivals bringing awareness to mental health and available resources within the Lowcountry.
- Charity events for mental health fundraising.
- Local events focused on body health, such as yoga classes.

We don’t plan to stop there! In the near-future, you can expect:
- Out of state retreats promoting mental wellness.
- Partnerships with local therapists to provide volunteer services, especially focused on the youth and rural areas.
- Additional resources for acute/crisis mental health services.

Manifesting is real and we are going to do whatever it takes to promote mental well-being within the Lowcountry! 🍃🍃

What is Laum?

Pronounced LA - OOM, it is derived from the African word luam, meaning peaceful and calm.

Laum is not just a business but it’s meant to become a community where mental health is the forethought. You know the saying “You die today, the job will replace you the next day”? Well, we’re tossing that to the wind; here, we care for 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆.

Let me reintroduce myself 🫶🏾

My name is Fatimah, sometimes known as Kiyah; I’m a model, freelance author, and Bangtan fanatic with a huge personality. A Trident Tech graduate with an Associates in Nail Technology and Esthetics, my goal is to pursue a specialty in Medical Nail Technology. It’s been about 4-5 years since I have officially taken my nail career seriously, beginning with my press on business Wacky Luv ( ).

Why medical you ask? You probably didn’t but I’m still going to answer! 🤭 I have worked as a medical assistant since 2019 in Fort Bragg and now MUSC; creating beautiful nails is something I love to do but doing tasks like caring for my diabetic father’s feet and my mother, who has a tougher time caring for her own, resonated with me more. So, I will continue to merge beauty with health on my journey through the nail world!
