We are trying to get the Motivational Interviewing Training rescheduled for late May or early June. The webinar with Ashleigh Hala originally scheduled for 5/9 is being moved to 5/29! Eastern Illinois University’s Health and Counseling Services, in Charleston, IL, is seeking candidates for the position of Clinical Counselor, Counseling Services.

This position reports to the Associate Director for Counseling Services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Providing group and individual counseling
• Providing risk assessment & crisis intervention services for students;
• Providing consultation services to students, faculty, staff, & others as needed;
• Providing clinical supervision of graduate students;
• Serving as a liaison to specific student groups and/or university offices
This is a permanent, full-time, 10-month academic support professional position, with service occurring during the academic year between August 1 and May 30.
Position requirements include:
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (counseling, clinical psychology, social work, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution of higher education prior to start date of August 1
• Minimum Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent eligible in Illinois required; Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred, prior to start date of August 1
• Ability to facilitate effective interpersonal relationships and to communicate with a wide range of students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and others through one-on-one work, consultations, trainings, or presentations;
• A demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence
