I was gifted this hand drawn picture of myself from my client with a lovely heartfelt note on the back.

It’s so crazy to me how I’ve been doing her hair for 10 years (I still think it’s 11- she says 10 😂) To me that’s 10 years of joy, sadness, fun, craziness- 10 years of sharing our lives stories, together the two of us. I’m so sad to see her move and I get sad when the good ones move too.

It’s so much more than JUST HAIR at the end of the day. It’s building relationships with people and making your own little tribe- at least to me.

This sweet gesture made me think how grateful I am for my clients who have been with me since 2009 and my newer clients who I love just as dearly and can’t wait til we’re at our “10- no I actually think I’ve been doing your hair 11 years” mark.

As some of you have noticed I’ve gone through and changed some terminology in the booking system. In a quick manner let me explain what is deemed as the new terminology.

OVERHAUL= full head application needed to suit your hair vision.
MAINTENANCE= partial head application needed, usually followed by a full head application to ‘maintain’ what has previously been done.
REFRESHER= just some subtle pieces here and there needed for your look.

All first time clients will be an overhaul for us to find what is needed to achieve your desired look. As we get to know each other and hair goals the service adjust and changes to the look desired.

I’m so sad I’m no longer going to see these faces anymore on the pretty much daily and all our fun banter but I’m exited that everyone is pumped for my journey moving forward.

Before I get to my excitement, I want to say how much I loved being I NEVER IN MY ENTIRE CAREER have NEVER felt so genuinely accepted. If you are someone who wants to go on your own but still wants salon camaraderie, those are YOUR girls! ❤️

Moving forward I will be working with Kami She was my mentor at a salon where we worked together for 7.5 years and literally took me under her wing. She’s going to help facilitate a dream I have within my hair career dream that I’m working on and offered a spot at her salon. It feels good to be asked somewhere. I really do have a bright future. ☀️

I just want to say thank you to all my clients as well.

2016 I went to the 9/11 museum. It was a somber humbling experience. You didn’t hear people talking or laughing. What you did see was everyone having the same experience as you crying quietly through their headphones.

These stairs are the exact stairs that so many people ran down for their safety.
