Over time, toothbrush bristles become frayed, which makes them less effective at cleaning your teeth and increases your cavity risk. To ensure your brush is up to s***f, make a habit of updating it every three to four months.
Do you use an electronic version? Mark your calendar or set a timer on your phone to replace its head every three to four months, as well.
Show your love how much you care with a beautiful bouquet of flowers rather than a box of sugary chocolate. They’ll (probably 😉) love you for it! #HappyValentinesDay
Did you know there’s been a significant spike in stress-induced oral health issues over the last few years? A study by the ADA Health Policy Institute found that 71% of dentists have reported seeing an increase in patients experiencing tooth grinding and clenching, 63% say they’ve seen an increase in chipped and cracked teeth, and 62% report a spike in temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD).
If you’re noticing new oral health symptoms or experiencing any discomfort, let us know right away. We’re always here to help!
February is Receding Gums Awareness Month, and this common oral health issue is a serious one. So serious that, if left untreated, it can cause tooth loss and increase your chances of tooth decay and infection.
The American Academy of Periodontology says that almost half of all adults over 30 have some form of gum recession. And while you may not think you’re part of that group, you may be experiencing subtle symptoms without realizing it.
Rest assured that we assess the health of your gums during every visit and should we spot signs that look concerning, we’ll let you know and develop a treatment plan to help.
Have questions about receding gums? Let us know!
Losing one or more teeth can seriously impact your ability to speak clearly and chew properly, and it can negatively affect your jawbone density, which can create problems for surrounding teeth. Thankfully, we offer tailored solutions for replacing missing teeth and restoring smiles.

Did you know that the human jaw can produce as much as 250 pounds of force? While that’s an incredible fact, you certainly don’t want to let habitual teeth grinding (also known as bruxism) go unchecked as it can lead to tooth cracks, fractures, and more.
Rest assured that we always examine your mouth for signs of the condition during your visits, and should we notice any concerning symptoms, we’ll talk with you about how to best protect your smile!

The ADA recommends that most people visit their dentist at least twice a year. Although an excellent rule of thumb, some people require more frequent visits due to a higher risk of dental disease, the use of certain medical conditions, their lifestyle habits, and more.
Wondering if you’re in need of more frequent care? Trust that we’ll always carefully assess your unique needs during every visit and make care recommendations to help you keep your smile strong for life!

If you’re suffering from sensitivity, talk to us about treatment options, oral homecare practices, and/or lifestyle habits that can help!
Cheek biting can be a painful and unconscious habit that can be a sign of a more significant issue. Among the factors that contribute to cheek biting:
• Distraction
• Accidents
• Depression and/or anxiety
• Poorly fitted restorations
• Bite & tooth misalignment.
If you’re noticing an uptick in how often you accidentally bite your cheek(s), call us. We’ll examine your mouth and let you know how we can help.
Composite fillings can be a great option for teeth that are chipped, cracked, broken, or decayed. These fillings are not only long-lasting, but they also require less drilling, which means that more of your natural tooth structure can often be preserved. They’re also customized to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, which boosts your smiling confidence!
