💃 Sida has been “shadowing” at APT for PT school and this week, she choreographed 2 dance “routines” for the Rock Steady Boxing participants! She focused on BIG stepping, turning, overhead movements. She used a Micheal Jackson song and a Steely Dan song! It was so fun and a great change up for the participants to focus on their balance and movement! THANK YOU, SIDA!

That’s a wrap on SLA Day 1! Here’s what the day looked like:

Students started their day with several interactive group activities followed by informative sessions from leading professionals in our state. Moving into the afternoon, students participated in the annual strategic planning session where they were able to let their voices be heard! They shared experiences, perspectives, and concerns they had surrounding current and future engagement with the profession as a whole. They learned about advocacy, lobbying, the WV APTA board, future career paths, leadership qualities/opportunities and more.

We are so grateful to the individuals involved in organizing such a beneficial experience!

There has been a water main break in Kanawha City which is affecting multiple Kanawha city locations including ADVANCED PHYSICAL THERAPY.

With the water pressure affected, toilets are non-functional.

For patients currently scheduled for physical therapy appointments, please know that restroom facilities will be unavailable until the water company has restored water pressure to the area. The estimated time for repair is 8pm Thursday evening but could be further delayed.

Please call with any questions or concerns about your PT appointment and to be sure the office will remain open.
