Our Cadets and Advisors Honor the past of the Citadel by living what past cadets experienced. Cadets Grish and Lisowski, and other participants attend the 2023 Commemoration for the HL Hunley, which was one of the first effective manned submarine assaults. The Submarine attacked the Union sloop USS Housatonic. She was crewed by 21 sailors, and all hands were lost before the submarine could not return to port.
