National Coming Out Day is literally on my birthday, Oct 11th and with all my recent dive into mental health, self care and self acceptance, I would be remiss to not acknowledge how negative judgments, discrimination and victimization creates substantial barriers to everyone in the LGBTQ community.
Remembering how it felt when I was younger and got my 1st girlfriend.. feeling the need to hide because it would not be accepted by family and/or peers did absolutely nothing but damage for my growth. Today, I acknowledge that young woman, my many friends, model brothers and sisters, and family members who are a part of a community that made me feel more whole and accepted than any other.
I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Do It!
It will bring you peace, calm your soul and help to regulate the craziness of this world.

You are creating all that you will look back on someday. You have the power to choose.
So, the next time you're faced with worry, breathe in. Choose to be present. Choose to be curious.
The next time you notice yourself postponing joy, simply tell yourself, " I'm allowed to enjoy this."

Do that enough times, and you may just find it will add up to a life well-lived.

From the time we are kids, we are taught to care what people think.
Our parents, our teachers, society...

And while yes, to a certain degree, we should care about the image we are putting out into the world; I'd also like to argue that as long as you are a decent human being, care about the earth and the beings that inhabit here.
If it's your AUTHENTIC SELF...
Who cares what they think?!?!

It does not matter whether or not they like what you wear, have the same interests, or even think like you.
Your authentic self is not their authentic self, and that's okay! 💯
