People are questioning why 22-year-old local rapper “Li Woadie” was spotted on a high school campus 💬

A video circulating Facebook appears to show local rapper “Li Woadie” roaming around Murphy High School Thursday afternoon. His real name is Anthony Beverly. He’s 22-years-old and has a rap sheet.

He is currently out on bond for giving police a name that wasn't his. He has previously been arrested on a number of charges including discharging a firearm, domestic violence and resisting arrest.

Mobile County Public School System released a statement to News 5:

“A person who is not a student at Murphy High School walked on campus in Murphy uniform and attempted to proceed into the cafeteria with students. He was immediately turned away by school staff, and he left campus.

Due to the security measures that we have in place, we were able to quickly identify him and get him off campus within a matter of minutes.
We are working with local law enforcement to take appropriate action.

Administration will continue to review all safety protocols to make sure the safety of all our campuses remains our top priority.”
