Just because my Sistar/Loctician is soooo DOPE! I remember when Yoko started my locs to begin my loc journey and where I was emotionally and spiritually!! I was in a space of rediscovery, healing and getting back aligned and in tune with ME! I began more and more to understand the importance of self reflection and STILLNESS! Instead of blaming others for my experience.. I took a deep dive to uncover every piece of myself.. my DARK and my LIGHT! I began to listen more and more to the little girl within! And while I embraced her innocence and free nature, I also had to release the many stories she consistently fed.. telling me I was not ENOUGH!! It’s a constant journey… but let me tell you! It has been transformational! Every twist and turn! Every laugh.. EVERY TEAR! To get to this space is amazing and I’m so excited to continue this journey!! The continued journey to ME! And ALL OF ME!! YOUR WINGS ALREADY EXIST.. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FLY 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋

JOY IS YOUR BIRTH RIGHT!! Repeat after me “JOY IS MY BIRTH RIGHT” Don’t get so consumed with Your “SPIRITUAL JOURNEY” that you forget to be intentional with ensuring you are EXPERIENCING JOY NOW!! What is joy for you? What is play for YOU? Make sure you dancing, singing, loving, playing! Defining what JOY is for YOU! No one can define that for YOU! Yes SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE is vital and KEY, But make sure PLAY, FUN AND JOY is a part of that DISCIPLINE! Remember to stay child like! Remember to be one who is constantly and consistently embarking on a journey of innocent self exploration and discovery! I AM MY HAPPIEST SELF.. when I AM AUTHENTICALLY ME!! My joy is not attached to be particular DESTINATION! I am playful and JOYFUL NOW!

Still coming down from our amazing home birth yesterday!! I remember a couple years ago saying… “I will have a Sistar to walk this birth work journey together..” A Sistar who has the passion for birth that I do and is eager to learn, expand and Love on our community! I also remember when I first started on this birth work journey 8 years ago.. I saw how competitive doulas were and how they didn’t want to share information!! I was so confused as to why.. because.. we all know there is enough FOR US ALL.. so as I expanded and learned.. I said to myself .. I will share all I know.. I will mentor new doulas.. I will create a tribe of birth workers that truly love and support each other’s worth, instead of seeing each other as competition! Well ALL HAS BEEN MANIFESTED! For those who haven’t had babies recently, belly binding is still a good option for you! It assist with posture, alignment, trimming of the abdomen area, lower back support and can I add feels very sensual when you wear it!! Another way to tap into your femininity!! Belly Binding also assist with cramping during your moon cycle!!

Bengkung belly binding can be an important part of recovering from childbirth. Using cotton, muslin, or silk fabric your abdomen is wrapped snuggly in order to support your body’s natural healing process. Belly binding has traditionally been used to provide the postpartum body the support to assist the abdominal wall muscle retraction, improves posture, support loosened ligaments and provide support to the torso while vital organs return to their pre-pregnancy size and position. Wrapping can be done over your clothes or under using an under wrap.
