Today, this first-time father is celebrating his special day in the Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center NICU with his wife, India, and their daughter, Dolly. Despite a very challenging start to fatherhood, Hadden is excited for the many milestones ahead. He's especially looking forward to finally being able to bring his little girl home!

Here's to all the amazing Novant Health dads making every moment count, even in the toughest of circumstances. Happy Father's Day!

Victoria Priest’s journey into motherhood took an unexpected turn with the arrival of her son, Lawson Gay. Born prematurely with a rare condition called omphalocele, Lawson needed immediate surgery by the team at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Despite the initial challenges, Victoria reflects on the experience with gratitude for the care that guided them through. Today, Lawson is thriving and Victoria is carrying with her valuable lessons and newfound confidence in motherhood.

Double the celebrations, double the fun! 👩🏼‍⚕️👶🏼

Last weekend Morgan Tyner welcomed her newest addition at Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center. Baby Cohen heard it was and that was right around the corner so he decided to make his grand debut three weeks early!

With the unexpected timing of the delivery, Morgan, who is currently studying to become a registered nurse at Forsyth Tech, had to miss a special pinning ceremony on campus. Her nurses quickly worked together to help turn Morgan's missed milestone into a beautiful moment. She was surprised with her own version of a pinning ceremony… right in the hospital conference room!

Novant Health Community Baby Shower baby 👶🏼🍼

On April 27th, we were thrilled to host a Community Baby Shower in Charlotte focused on connecting new and expectant moms with community resources, providing important perinatal, parenting education, and distributing critical baby hygiene supplies. All in support of our system’s mission to reduce health disparities for Women and Infants.

Thank you to our two amazing providers who were the guest speakers for the health education sessions. Cheryl Onwuchuruba, MD, OB/GYN presented a general overview on maternal and fetal health, including prenatal and postnatal care. Samantha Suffren, MD, psychiatrist addressed the importance of postpartum mental health. We’d also like to thank our community partners and our Women Health institute.
