Beautiful morning for our Adopt a Street clean up! Great friends and great weather… and post clean up snacks! 🗣️A HUGE SHOUT OUT to our club member,Rosemary H. Jackson for coordinating and organizing!! Thank you!! 👏👏☺️ 💙💛😎
Awesome to see how quickly Ballantyne Families Helping Neighbors in Need used the donation (from our Holiday Greenery sale) we made LAST WEEK to fill some empty pantry shelves!
Every year our club divides the profits from our Holiday Greenery Sale between Rotary International’s End Polio Now initiative and a local non profit. After hearing about the incredible grassroots organization Ballantyne Families Helping Neighbors in Need, we presented them with a check for $500 today. This will enable them to reach more families facing food insecurity.
Twenty years of service in our community and internationally! Happy Birthday to the Ballantyne Rotary Club, and may the next twenty years have an even greater impact!
Great day to have an indoor literacy service project for Promising Pages!

Thank you to Dr. Rose Jackson for being our Rotarian Spotlight today!
We held the second part of our Family Financial Literacy program at the Alliance Center for Education (Mulberry Campus) last night.
Engaged and inquisitive parents and older children learned more about their personal savings and credit goals, as well strategies to better manage their financial resources.
The youth topics ranged from discussing wants vs needs and US and international coins, to comparison shopping and budgeting allowances or gifts. Reading a variety of age appropriate financial books reinforced these concepts.
Resources from the CFPB, Rotary District 7680 and TowneBank Foundation made these workshops possible.

At Friday’s meeting, Dr. Reinhard von Hennings spoke to our Club about the relationships between the USA, Germany & other European countries and Ukraine, as the impact of this war continues to affect so many. We welcomed many fellow Rotarians from the Waxhaw-Weddington Rotary Club for this insightful presentation.
What a great partnership!
We completed our second financial literacy workshop at Alliance Center for Education last night with curious and engaged groups of adults and children, thanks to funding from Rotary District 7680 and TowneBank. We are using the booklets from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in this initiative, providing attendees with great resources, take home Toolkits and a collection of children’s financial books.
Our club has been busy installing raised garden beds at Alliance Centers for Education, and we completed another one today!
