Take 2! On Wednesday, May, 23th our store will be closed to the general public from 8 AM to 2 PM during the filming of another Hollywood feature film “Are You There God, It’s Me Margaret”. The store will reopen after 2 PM. We thank you for your understanding and are very pleased that your Giant Penny local store continues to be selected for the perfect spot to film movies.

Giant Penny will be closing at 5 PM on Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day. Please stop by the store prior to that time to gather all the groceries that you need to honor this Memorial Day weekend with your friends and family.

On Wednesday, May, 5th our store will be closed to the general public during the filming of a Hollywood feature film “The Evolution of Nate Gibson”. The store will reopen under normal business hours on Thursday, May 6th. We thank you for your understanding.

Updated Hours of Operations starting on Monday, March 30th.

Due to the coronavirus situation, we are updating our hours of operation until further notice:

Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Our meats inventories are back to normal. Other groceries remain low and we are working with our suppliers to increase it as soon as possible.

We are asking our value customers cooperation to limit just one family member to do the necessary shopping during the quarantine period.

Updated Hours of Operations for March 25th to March 29th.

Due to the coronavirus situation, we are updating our hours of operation for the rest of this week to allow additional time to restock and sanitize the store:

10:00 AM to 8:00 PM - from Wednesday, March 25th until Saturday, March 28th.

Closed on Sunday, March 29th.

Attention Shoppers:

We will reopen for business on Monday (3/23) at noon to allow our staff to restock items.

At Giant Penny, the health and safety of our customers and staff are of the utmost importance. We already have sanitized and disinfected the store to ensure a clean shopping environment. In line with expert recommendations to practice social distancing, please consider sending only one family member out for necessity shopping. This helps limit the spread of the coronavirus and prevents us from having to limit the number of customers inside the store at any given time.

An important update from the Giant Penny store to our value customers:

The store will be closed on Sunday, March 22nd and will reopen on Monday, March 23rd at Noon to give a needed rest to our staff that has worked relentlessly in cleaning and repacking the shelves during this unprecedented time.

Inventory is low due to warehouses and distributors trying to keep up with the demands. This is a demand issue, not a supply issue, and we expect to improve in the next week.

Price increases are coming directly from the manufacturers due to high demand. Giant Penny is absorbing about 70% of the price increases to help mitigate the impact to our valuable customers. We are part of this community and are trying to do our best to help.

Our meats and poultry packaging supply are running low. Therefore we are using larger packaging products than the ones that you are accustomed to seeing until we can replenish it. These larger packaging content will have larger quantities of meats and poultry which will be reflected in the price that you pay.

Our Giant Penny family is urging consumers to remain calm and to avoid hoarding. We are expecting the warehouses to increase the delivery of the products in the next week. We certainly appreciate your understanding in doing your part, as we are doing ours.

Message Regarding our Store During the COVID-19 Pandemic

To our Valued Customers,

We want to take a moment to thank you for your patronage during this time of uncertainty related to the COVID-19 virus. Our store remains open during normal business hours. We continue to monitor and follow the recommendations from the CDC and local government authorities for our business operation. We are working hard to keep the shelves stocked, but the high volume of customers purchasing items all at once has caused a backlog at the warehouse.

We are working closely with our employees to ensure their safety by wearing gloves and face masks, hand sanitizer and that they wash their hands often. No employees shall be permitted to work if they show any signs of illness. We also ask that our customers be responsible and not come to the store to shop if they are ill or have been exposed to someone that has been ill to avoid spreading the virus.

It is more important than ever to come together to make certain everyone stays safe and healthy.
