The Barry David Project

Two months ago I found out I have cancer and 4 weeks ago I had surgery to remove my left tonsil and 3 lymph nodes. I am doing well and continuing to recover and a full recovery can take up to a year. My surgeon believes he was able to remove all of the cancer. Radiation treatment is the next step to ensure that no residual cancer cells remain in my lymph nodes.

I want to thank everyone that has reached out to me over the past few weeks to check in on me and share your words of encouragement! It makes it so much easier to go through this with an army of family and friends supporting me every step of the way.

Next month I begin radiation treatment 5 times a week for 7 weeks. It won’t be easy physically but my spirit will stay strong because I know you are there rooting for me every step of the way!

We would like to thank everyone for the well-wishes and prayers. Barry is out of the hospital and resting at home. We look forward to getting, as Aerosmith would say, back in the saddle again at a watering hole near you soon!

The Barry David Project will be pausing on shows for the next 3 months while Barry is recovering from major surgery. We hope to resume playing sometime late in February or early March. We will keep you posted on his progress.
