Armstrong- This client on Lake Twitty in Monroe, North Carolina needed a new pathway down to the dock. They did not want a straight, boring set of wood steps. We designed and built an awesome winding stone pathway with irregular flagstone, 5 ft. stone steps and big boulders holding everything in. Some plantings, drip irrigation and lighting and a custom built iron hand rail running the entire length of the path will finish everything out. This client gave us the freedom and budget to do a super fun project!!! Looking for to adding more when they are ready!!

We do container gardening for residential and commercial sites. We love working with restaurants especially if there is a barter we can work out!! Looking forward to a great relationship with The Clubhouse in Plaza Midwood.

What a super fun project! The Essential Gardner teamed up with Tim Sheaffer Design to rebuild a deck that we designed and installed years ago on the first round. The initial design was a three tiered deck around the tree. The decking boards had seen they’re better days so the new homeowners reached out and wanted it all one level.  we were able to salvage almost the entire frame, which helped out on cost for sure. check out Tim’s website!! https://www.timsheafferdesign.com/

Client needed additional parking off the driveway and curb appeal for listing in Plaza Midwood. The Essential G’s took care of it. Removed half the yard, installed stone edging, decorative rock, dry stack stone wall, new plantings, fresh mulch and updated several containers.

Whenever I ride down to Union County and shop at the nursery, it’s hard not to stop and get some carolina favorites as a snack.

I really do not hear it a lot but sometimes people question about pricing from people that do my kind of work and other small businesses. Here is a list of SOME not ALL expenses that come along with running my kind of business. This is with having a vehicle and all equipment paid for and most often paying off credit cards at the end of every month.

- Storage unit- $340/mth. I split a double unit with a friend.
-Ongoing maintenance for equipment. Shop rate to get equipment fixed= $100/hr. + parts I just spent $400 on parts and complete service on my zero turn.
-Two new heavy duty trailer tires=$300
-Four new heavy duty truck tires=$1000+
- Payroll=$$$
-Bookkeeper=$$$
-Accountant=$$$
-Gas & insurance=$$$
-Various small power tools and gardening equipment-$$$

Daniel Project- New design and install for front yard. Client still has plenty of turf left but now has a more beautiful and functional front yard. Irrigation installed from house spigot. This is phase 1. Everything is tilled and the soil amended with organic fertilizer to create a healthy soil
profile. The next phase will include more plantings and redesign of back yard as well. Man these are fun projects!!
