In 1983, Howard Duvall was a commercial property investor with several buildings to his name. Initially founding MSR Services to manage his own properties, he realized that his approach to property management would be useful to others, as well. As he began to manage and develop properties other than his own, Howard Duvall discovered a new path for MSR Services, and for himself. Duvall Investment Group, Inc. grew to manage more than 45 commercial and residential properties throughout the Carolinas and has evolved into a full-service development firm. Its primary services include property, facility and association management, office development and redevelopment, asset management, and planning. At the end of 2010, a joint venture was formed between the Association Management Division of Duvall Investment Group and CAMS. CAMS was founded in 1991 by Mike Stonestreet and has since grown to over 160 community associations. Mike merged CAMS with Dave Sweyer of T&S Property Management LLC in 2003. Today, the Duvall/CAMS Team includes over 35 staff members who are well-trained in the management of community and condominium owners associations. Our corporate office is located in Charlotte NC and we have regional offices located in Wilmington NC, Chapel Hill NC and Bolivia NC as well as on-site offices in many of our New Hanover, Brunswick, Onslow, Pender and Wake County client associations, as well as Waverly, GA. In addition to our Community Managers, we have multiple on-site Facilities Managers and a fully-staffed Accounting Department which includes Nancy Stanley, Sr. Accountant, who has been the CAMS since 1998, Rick Harris CPA with over 30 years experience, and Chris Rezak MBA (currently working on his CPA), as well as separate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments. CAMS also employs a Closing Coordinator and office staff who are knowledgeable in various aspects of Community Management, including record keeping, accounting, meeting preparation, and work order preparation.
