Our first ever featured plant of the week! What better week to start than Masters week and what better plant to start with than the Azalea! The azalea is one of the most infamous plants of Augusta National and will be featured heavily this week. In Charlotte the azalea is one of the most popular blooming shrubs and can be used for a variety of applications. The azalea is part of the rhododendron family and has hundreds of varieties that vary in size, bloom colors, and blooming times. One of the most popular modern cultivar is the Encore Azalea which blooms twice per year in the spring and fall. Happy Masters week everyone! 🏌️⛳️ 🌺
