WELCOME SEPTEMBER. or well, we are retaking it to be SUPPORT SMALL SEPTEMBER. Hoping to create a movement here. Bigger than me, bigger than The Batchhouse, bigger than Charlotte...but we have to start small. Do yall remember the movie PAY IT FORWARD?! It was insane, this kid (from what I remember) who just did things to pay it forward and create this RIPPLE effect that changed people left and right. Im no Haley Joel Osment AT ALL, but I think collectively we can make some change (I’ve whitnessed it before) and this season of life (and I know you’ve heard it so many times before) but SMALL BUSINESSES need us.
So, September. I created a calendar of creative ways you can do each day (some of these are low cost, no cost or however much your budget allows), so YOU can make a difference and support small businesses.
Small businesses have been hurting this year so so much. I’ve shared some of my own issues and you can just open any news outlet and see closings and owner interviews saying how slow it is.
So, in the spirit of doing something about it and not just complaining, I promise to complete the calendar myself, do every single task (and include my family in doing it!). I would be honored and love it if you would join me me. You can do just 1-3 days a week of tasks or move tasks around, its generally just a calendar to give you ideas of how we can support small businesses (not always involving spending money). I will also post on my stories and create highlights as I bring you along the journey so tag us //

My kitty went over the 🌈 bridge yesterday. He was 20. He was found in a dumpster in the Bronx. He was loud and needy and I loved him more than life. He pretty much hated every guy I dated until Rob. What’s the name of a pet you miss?? Tell me about them!

Sienna Rose Henricks. 3 really hard long days delivering you ended in an emergency c-section. I can’t believe I get to have you as my little girl. I’ve wanted you for as long as I could know I could be a mom. It took way longer than I hoped, but you are so worth the wait.

As soon as the concept of motherhood was clear, I wanted the job. Thank you for making me a mommy. There were so many tears and fears on the journey to holding you for the first time. I’ll never regret it. IVF sucks, but you make it all worth it.

Your daddy has been obsessed with you since day one. He dressed up the day we transferred you into me. He’s been at every appointment physically possible. I’ve never known a dad so excited to be a dad. He talked to my belly every day. He told me about his plans to take you on daddy daughter dates.

We named her Sienna because the town in Italy (Siena (one n) is a beautiful town full of art and families with deep roots. Sienna is also a deep terra cotta color. Earthy. Strong.

The world is abundant :)

The Queen’s Tea Party is a day for you to connect with other women, receive Queen-like treatment, and refill your cup so you can show up for your community in ways you want and need.

Our goal is $20,000 (200 therapy hours) which ticket sales and sponsorships will help us achieve.

Our mission follows and Strategic Plan R to increase economic mobility by improving access to mental health and peer support networks.

The love has been overwhelming today. It makes all the frustration and sadness of a bad situation into a positive one. Charlotte is such a loving and supportive community for business. Our brand new store was broken into yesterday. Thousands of dollars of things were stolen. For a small business, this is devasting. For a business in January, this is even more devastating. We are heartbroken 💔. Send us a little extra love as we try and pick up the pieces of this.
