Opinion : The Popular Front 07/08/2024

Today I bring you another opinion piece, some ramblings on how we can cooperate with each other and set aside our politics in the name of progress. Feel free to read it here!

Opinion : The Popular Front I’ve stated before that I am a proponent of the ‘Popular Front’ idea, but what do I mean when I say this? Recently I’ve been giving some thought to the way we view our own p…

The Three Principles : Democracy 07/04/2024

Finally I've capped off my series on the Three Principles of The People with my article on Democracy. I wish it could have come sooner and I apologize if it seems a little hard to read, it's difficult for me to put my love of Democracy into words but I hope I did a good enough job.

The Three Principles : Democracy It is difficult to describe in words how much I appreciate Democracy, how valuable of a principle it is that it has taken so long for me to articulate its value. Democracy is in the simplest terms …

James Coney Fireside Chat : June 2024 - An Axe To Grind 07/03/2024

I'm a few days late letting you all know but I did make a fireside chat in June, it's fairly light, mostly an update on the progress of the campaign as well as my thoughts on the recent presidential debate.

James Coney Fireside Chat : June 2024 - An Axe To Grind Here's just a short update about the state of the campaign as well as a slight rant about the upcoming Presidential Election. Thanks for watching and remember...

The Three Principles : Equality 06/19/2024

Continuing my series of articles on my 'Three Principles of the People' I bring you my definition and theory of Equality.
Read about it now!

The Three Principles : Equality Equality, like Liberty, is a word which has been misinterpreted willfully or accidentally for years now. When I speak of Equality I do not refer to equality of outcomes as I have occasionally been …

Opinion : Fairness 06/17/2024

I got to thinking a little about life being so unfair and started asking myself, Why?
Read about it now!

Opinion : Fairness For almost my entire life I’ve been told that life isn’t fair, that these inequities which plague us both great and small are merely part of the human experience. For those born into we…

The Three Principles : Liberty 06/16/2024

Though I have neglected it somewhat since its creation, I'd like to make greater use of my website to voice my views. To this end I've written my first article, a brief explanation of Liberty, my first of three Principles of the People which guide my actions.
Follow the link to read it today!

The Three Principles : Liberty Today people talk a lot about liberty and rights. About how our rights are being infringed be it by oppressive government or by oppressive social structures. This however, leads us to question what…

Lift-The-Square! | CSA Museum 06/14/2024

Project "Lift-The-Square" seeks to install an elevator in the old Courthouse museum here in the heart of Charlotte. With the goal of raising $500,000, the project will add an feature that has been desired since the Courthouse went out of use in 1976 for the exact reason that it lacked accessibility for those with difficulty using the stairs.
The project has already raised over $350,000, so let's all do our part today to give a little back to our community and help make our local museum more available to everybody.

Lift-The-Square! | CSA Museum Courthouse Square Museum is very excited to bring the dream of an elevator to the courthouse after many years of attempting this project.  Follow our progress!

This is the website for Carmel Township, besides looking like it was designed in 2004, it is woefully inadequate when it comes to giving much useful information (Nowhere on this site could I find out when the township hall is open).
Government transparency is at the forefront of my campaign and part of that means letting people know through our online resources exactly what's going on in our local government.
It will be a priority once I am elected to build a far better digital portal for our township and to ensure that every citizen can have their concerns addressed and their voices heard.

06/12/2024

Today I have a wonderful announcement, I am officially a candidate for Carmel Township Trustee as seen here on the current candidate listing. Thank you so much to all my friends, family, and supporters who made it possible to be here today, see you all in November!

Today is June 6th, aside from being my birthday, it is also the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. One of the great heroes of the landings which I would like to celebrate is Brigadier General Theodore Roosevelt Jr.
Having already served in the first world war, and held several political offices, Roosevelt wasted no time in rejoining the army even before the U.S. had entered into the war. When he was first assigned to North Africa he quickly gained a reputation as an unorthodox commander. Preferring the front lines to the command tent, he made a habit of visiting soldiers even during battle to personally command and motivate the army.
When the D-Day landings finally occurred Roosevelt would be the only general to land on the beaches that day. When his forces arrived at the landing point of Utah beach only to discover they were in the completely wrong place, Roosevelt wasted no time coordinating the attack from an area which he surmised was far better suited to invasion. Despite suffering from a heart condition and arthritis which necessitated the use of a cane, Roosevelt spent the entire day travelling the beach coordinating attacks, placating frightened soldiers with stories of his father, and directing traffic. Fighting on until he was struck down by a heart attack a month later, Theodore Roosevelt Jr. was nominated for a Distinguished Service Cross which would be upgraded to a Medal of Honor. His actions both at home and abroad to defend freedom and democracy are why I choose to remember him as one of the greatest heroes in our history.
