My Story
I created Laura James Jewelry 2005 out of my desire to give others original, collectible high quality jewelry that was well-crafted by hand. Creating keepsake jewelry treasures that had history to them and were able to be worn for many years became my goal.
Being a collector of antique jewelry throughout my Mississippi upbringing paved the way for me to eventually turn my treasured hobby into a career. My passion for heirloom jewelry with its history and nostalgic feel led me to begin Laura James Jewelry with those Antique and Vintage components taking center stage.
As a self-taught jewelry designer, I honed my Metal-smithing skills at Penland School of Craft in Asheville, North Carolina. As the sole designer and fabricator of my jewelry, I am consistently inspired by my love of Nature, Architecture, Travel and Fashion.
