Menus on Menus!

Real talk:
Do you NEED them? No, you don’t NEED anything, practically speaking. However … hear me out.

When you’re setting a formal, plated dinner … it’s traditional etiquette to include a menu card at each place setting. When we are creating menu cards, we suggest only including the courses that specific guest is being served.

For example, if you have three entrée options that guests could select from on the response card, the one entrée they selected would be listed on their card. The other courses would also be included, but typically those are the same for each guest.

Matthew 28:5-6: "The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.'"​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Good Friday celebrates the day our Lord died for our sins on the cross. I have tried to imagine the agony and suffering He went through because of our sins. At one point He said from the cross, “It is finished” (John 19:30). He meant that God had accepted His work on the cross as the penalty for our sins.

Christ’s death on our behalf is the reason God can forgive us and still be just. And His death teaches us the depth and breadth that there should be in our forgiveness of one another.

While that holy Friday was tremendous, it was only a prelude to Sunday morning when He was raised from the dead. Godly women had come to see His tomb, but angels made the glorious announcement, “He has risen!” (Luke 24:6). His resurrection guaranteed that we, too, will be raised, if we are believers and obeyers of His Word. - BG

I recently sat down with Deb, the mind and designer behind Olive Paper and she spilled a little ink on who she is - so here’s a peek behind the paper with a few fun Q&As!

Tori: What inspired you to start Olive Paper?
Deb: Honestly, wanting to have control over my life and schedule … I craved the need to get out of the corporate world, and starting Olive Paper was very organic for me, and was God opening that door for me to take a leap of faith.

T: What’s the most rewarding part of working in the stationery or wedding industry?
D: Seeing the client’s face light up the first time they see what I created for them. That joy is what makes every moment through he process worth it!

T: What’s your go-to stationery style?
D: Definitely a Classic style with a little twist of a modern element or pop of color.

T: If Olive Paper had a theme song, what would it be?
D: Some days it’s “I Will Survive” and other days it’s “What A Wonderful World”. 😂

D: I am NOT a Disney fan - and anytime someone comes in with an inquiry of anything Disney-themed for me to design, it’s an AUTOMATIC no for me … SO SORRY if that’s your jam!!
