The 2021 Union Dragway banquet will be held Saturday evening, January 8, 2022 at Sunset Farm in Union. This amazing facility is only 6 miles from the track in Union. We will be recognizing the top five points finishers in all the Union categories, along with the PTRA categories from 2020 and 2021, plus Racer X. Also, we will crown our Clyde Ledbetter's No Prep series two champions. Please RSVP with your name and the total number of people with the party attached to your name and I will keep an updated list on this post. No need to send the money as you can pay at the door, but please let us know by Monday, January 3rd so we can let the folks catering the event know how many to prepare for. The menu will be posted soon. We have outgrown the building at the track and ya'll deserve a special night. This will be a fun night. BYOB but please....have a designated driver and be moderate. Dress is casual and people can park motorhomes at the track to stay if necessary. Thanks for a great 2021!

PTRA racers there will be a memorial Banner for Mike Hutchens at Farmington this weekend for everyone to sign, then it will be hung at the track for ALL to remember him as not only our PTRA legend but for the 5 time Championships he accomplished in his racing years. Please go by and sign it. !!! Mike will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN

Thank You Mark Joyce these are awesome and gives me a chance to tell any and everyone that Saturday at around 12:00 probably a little after you know I’m going to be stitting down and talking for my brother so we could run long lol. But when we leave the funeral home we’re going to ride over by Farmington and let Hutch take the tree and ride down the 1/8 one last time everyone is welcome it will be only the Hurst will be going down the Drag strip but you are encouraged and more than Welcome to come over and cheer our Great Champion one last time and thank him one last time for all the enjoyment he gave us all,all these years. So again around 12:00 or a little after we’ll go in at the Farm and watch Mike
make his last pass. You can just park wherever you can they’res not a race happening that day. Just Mikes Last Pass. Come join us if you can. Ty.

Michael Lee Hutchens
December 20, 1962 - August 31, 2021

Yadkinville – Michael Lee Hutchens, 58, passed away peacefully at his home and went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 31, 2021. He was born December 20, 1962 in Yadkin County to the late Vauda Lee Hutchens and Mary Sutphin Hutchens. Surviving is his aunt, Jane (Billy) Mundy; cousins, Angel (Jeff) Saggus, Christi (Anthony) Whitaker, Payton Foster, Caleb Foster (Alexis); special friends, Mike Hawks, Eddie “Hud” Hudspeth, Andy Gryder, Tim “Tumbleweed” Douglas, Johnny Ireland, Ray Williams and several other friends and racing family too numerous to mention. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Scott Welch and Mike Hawks. He will then take one last ride down the dragstrip at Farmington and then burial will follow at Courtney Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Hutchens family. We lost a "LEGEND" of our PTRA Family. Multi-time Champion **Mike Hutchens 😢 May he RIP we know he's up there chatting away with all the great racers/friends welcoming him to his heavenly home. He will be missed and never forgotten. Thank you Mike for always being an ambassador to our ptra family.
